due to the swine flu thing...

today the powers that BE issued this as a stage 4 and from what i was reading the Gvt. starts restricting travel usually at a level 4 or 5 --- so if air travel was restricted and we were not able to travel to WDW would Disney allow us to change our reservations to a later date???

does anyone know if there would still be penalties applied to changes having to be made that are out of our control...

also, if we did have to cancel our trip due to not being able to fly how long would our paid reservation be good for??? in other words, would would have a year to use it or something...or would we just completely lose our reservation and get a partial refund???

thanks!!!

I know personally, I am preparing for the worst, but expecting this to be bad, but not horrendous for most people...maybe something on par to what the SARS or bird flu outbreaks of a few years ago were. I did see today that a lot of airlines were waving fees for changing tickets...at least to Mexico.

I may be looking at the wrong site-but the only travel warning I see on the CDC is to "Avoid Nonessential Travel to Mexico".

Is there something else?

no, there is nothing else at this point --- but i am wondering if all travel gets restricted in the next week or so --- we leave on May 9th...so i am just trying to plan ahead --- and of course, as luck would have it, i did NOT take out the trip insurance...

i guess i will call Disney and see what they say...

I think that there is more likelihood of the sun rising in the West than of domestic flights being grounded because of swine flu. It just won't happen.

We leave on the May 8th. Honestly, I am not worried about it at all. The worst I think could happen for domestic flights is we may have to take precaustions like wearing a mask. No biggie.

Now, if I were going to Mexico, I would be a bit more worried.
