So what snacks would you pack?

We are taking two kids, ages 2 & 4 next month and although we are going to be on the dining plan I was wondering what snacks I should take in with us to the parks - they will be tide-them-over snacks to get them through to the next meal kind of thing.

I don't plan on having a cooler for cold items.

TIA!

We'll be taking our 2 year old, and I plan on taking cheezits or goldfish crackers, cheerios, and animal crackers.

The PP had some good suggestions. Granola bars are always good, my DS also likes pretzels and teddy grahams. You can always do some fruit like apples too.

We usually bring in goldfish, pretzels, or teddy grahams.

We also usually bring them right back to the room, LOL! But, I like knowing that I have them if the kids need them.

Mini Nilla Wafer and Mini Fig Newton packs are good too.

peanut butter ritz crackers, bananas (bring a plastic knife and give half to each child), yogos, special k bars or bites...and have something dazzling that they don't get very often, but you know they like, like fruit chews or yogos or a dum dum lollipop.

I would bring snacks they normally eat. Some "comfort food" if you will. Just make sure they'll hold up to the heat!

I am bringing a 2 & 4 yr old too. Mine like pop tarts and I am bringing fruit snacks as a bribe for waiting in line. I am also bringing mini play dough for TS restaurants.

My 4yo DD loves the Special K cereal bars with fruit. They have just a little frosting drizzled on the top so they really seem like a treat. So far we've tried strawberry, blueberry, and peach and she has liked all of them.

My daughter is a little younger than your children but she loves dried fruit. I just found some single serve packets at a grocery store that I'm going to bring to the parks. Little boxes of raisins are good too.

We pack pretzels, granola bars, juice box's, and apples or bananas. Having snacks on hand is great with small children.

We bring cheerios, goldfish and teddy grams in a little bowl that we picked up at the Disneystore. One of the 3 for $12 deal. Sometimes we bring the Cars one, but usually we bring the princess ones. My daughters FAVORITE thing in the world right now are the POTC fruit snacks we picked up, I think she could eat them constantly all day everyday and be a very happy girl.

grapes, bananas, carrots, juice boxes, small lunchables (the cracker, ham, and cheese ones)- 1 per child per day- it never fails that every time we are almost to the entry gate at Disney World that our children start asking for something to eat. We just hand them a lunchable and by the time we get through the bag check and gates and get to a ride they are finished eating and ready to play.

I bought the 3 for $12 bowls with lids at The Disney Store, too !
Love them. They are so cute and so handy ! :cool1:

on the day after valentines day I bought allllllllllllll the different lollipops I could find anywhere at 75% off(after feb 14 sale CVS)we had 4 big bags of red and pink heart pops to give out while we waited in lines, I put 50 a day in our backpack and our DD4 LOVED LOVED gifting them to kids! She was like the mayor! All week long people remembered her and her pops!(Some people even gave us stuff back later on in the week, someone gifted her their minnie balloon cuz they were flying home that nite, she got stickers from a boy and even a pin from a cm for "sharing goodies so well"! It was a fabulous sharing/learning experience, cost barely $5 TOTAL!!;) .........was a major line timekiller, was yummy, fun and great! I highly recommend doing it!:cloud9: We always will!;) I ALWAYS ALWAYS had her ask the parent first and always had her extend the big ziplock bag full of pops so the kids could choose their own( with the bag full of pops this seemed to make parents more at ease with taking a pop,,,altho some parents were a bit leary of "free"...(i do understand that too so.. no prob...we just kept going and giving.
I feel that it built my DD4s friend making skills, her confidence level, and sharing skills. We really had a great time!

I am going to be taking some Just Tomatoes fruit & veggies. Dd is turning 3 next week and absolutely loves them (so does mommy & daddy). You can find out more here: www.justtomatoes.com

They are awesome! Dd loves the raspberries, pineapples, strawberries, bananas, and corn.

Raisens, goldfish (the 100 calorie bags are great), nutrigrain bars, grapes, and pretzels are all good bets.
