Just joined your merry group and site looks good to me (not that I remember what the old one was like). I've been bandying round all disney forums for a couple of years but never posted because I know it will take a lot of my time up once I start. Too many other forums to keep up with without adding disney but I finally figured what the heck.

Anywho - I've noticed 3 things about the site that I want to bring up. Please dont hate me b4 I've even started - I'm just pointing things out rather than having a go

1) I cant find a search function on this site
2) The hover over preview hack function doesnt work on all threads
3) There is no option to add your own avatar.

Remember - here to help - if it feels like I'm being picky just ignore

Had chance to get through the forums a bit by now and realised the board changes were TODAY - talk about a bad time for me to join. Wouldnt have posted the above had I noticed this because even though I was only pointing things out I did this thinking the problems might have been there for a while (not 5 hours). Just for some info, the search is still being worked on - I think because it's so resource intensive it'll be the last thing to be added whilst some other kinks are being sorted.

The reason why the pop up preview doesn't work on all threads is because it only works on new threads created since the upgrade...where it doesn't work means it's just an old one.

You can add your own avatar in the 'Edit Avatar' option in your User CP. Not sure if that's just been added since you posted or just missed it because it's in a different place from everything else...but it's there now

The new boards were all a bit of a culture shock for me the first day I'll admit but I'm getting used to it now

Penny, the Edit Avatar option, doesnt appear to give a "Custom" option. Please can you tell us where to find the Custom button please?

Thanks everyone - I'm sure I'll be making a good few posts over the next few days because my sleeping patterns are up the wall (went to bed at 7 this morning and woke up in the dark at 5pm). I've got Seinfeld Box sets to get through while I type and Cheers series 3 came today so not much chance of me sorting my sleeping out this week

Where do I go to see who's online? Previously I went to my User CP page and I would have a list of my 'buddies' showing who was online and who was offline. Clicking on the link to my buddy list now simply reveals who is on the list, not whether or not they are online.

The "Who's Online" feature has been disabled by the administrator. I can see that there are coloured buttons which reveal whether or not a poster is online, but I would like to see a list.

Typically, having tried to work it out since Sunday, I've now sussed it! I can view the list by following the "Open Buddy List" under Quick Links.

Just noticed something else. On Sunday, the poster info had moved to the top of the post: now it's back to the side - any reason for this?

Deb, I think it was just because it made the pages longer...more scrolling....and unlike signatures, if you didn't like it you don't have the turn them off.
