Now, I really don’t know how loud your music actually was, but assuming it wasn’t really that loud (as you imply), here is what I would say:

OK...is the guy a little crazy? Yes. Did he have the right to tell you to turn the music down so he could hear his cellphone? No, probably not.

BUT, I usually try and avoid conflict and confrontation and if he had asked me 3 times to turn it down, I would not simply have ignored him but rather just turned it down until he was gone. After all, this is how arguments/fights over virtually nothing break out. People have been shot for this sort of thing. It’s like driving on the road when someone does something stupid…most of the time you just let it go and hope you won’t see them ever again. I simply just wouldn’t want to create a big scene over such a little thing…why risk it?

It seems like such an easy question. Who was wrong? The problem is we don't know anything about this guy.

What if his mother constantly left him in the car by himself while she returned videos or ran to the ATM? What if he has spent a lifetime of vacations at Six Flags parks? What if his cult forbids the use of crock pot cooking? Plus there's chemicals in the brain that make us do things...who's REALLY wrong?
