I want to stay at POR 9/30 - 10/3, it will be a surprise for my DBF. He fell in love with it last year when we visited.

Price is a factor though. So do I go ahead and book the ressies for POR and hope for a code to bring it down to less than $100 a night (hoping for $79)

or

Do I book a value for a guaranteed $77 a night?

What would you do?

(and by the way the DBF thinks we're not even staying on property

:goodvibes :goodvibes )

Since price is a factor, I would probably book the value resort room, and then switch when and if codes come out. I think I'd be too disappointed if I had a mod booked knowing I could afford rack rate, and then had to switch down to a value because codes weren't available.

I'd do the same thing.

FWIW, Disney decides how many rooms to release for discounts based on how many rooms book at rack. If you book knowing you won't stay if you don't later get a discount, you are working against yourself!

Best wishes -
