I really don't want a trip in August, as I would melt.

All of you "it's too hot in August" pansies disappoint me. This will be our 4th August in a row and we aren't dead yet.
Besides, in August you are so dehydrated there is no NEED for potty breaks. Much easier to tour without ever having to stop!

Am mostly a lurker on this site...but am so excited I hope you all don't mind if I share. We're celebrating C.J.'s very first trip to the World (my 33rd)....

C.J. is our "rental" kid (and, yes, we hope he comes with a manual). God bless his parents for allowing two middle aged "Aunties" to take him. Rented his Dad 25 years ago and we had a blast! Think I can still do all the water slides at Blizzard Beach?

We're telling him next weekend. Going in March. I ordered M&M's, red and yellow. On one it says "C.J.'s going to" and on the other it says "Disney World!" Hope he thinks it was a good idea.

Orlando Mike, or anyone, if you have any suggestions to add that may make the trip more magical, have at it!

I am not a Floridian. I lived there for a few months after I met Corey, but I have lived in GA, AL, and TN for the majority of my life. My partner is a Floridian, but she is very cold natured. I can be sitting here sweating with the air conditioning blowing away and she will be under a blanket complaining that she's freezing.

After 22 years together, we adopted our son from Guatemala. WHen they extended the 4/7 promotion, we decided to upgrade from ASMo to CSR. We are celebrating our 3rd family day while there and now we will be able to honor our sons Mayan heritage at the same time.

That sounds really cool for you guys! I love CSR. We stayed there back in 2003. It was a cold December trip, so we didn't use the pool, but it was still a great place to be. I hope you enjoy the resort.

Lindy, I do believe you have stumbled on to something. I am very cold natured, so maybe that's why WDW in August doesn't really bother me.

I lived in FL for 9 years before I moved to TX. I can tolerate heat much better than I can tolerate cold.

Yeah, we're pretty excited about the pool! Heck, who am I kidding, we are ecited about the whole darn trip!

We're celebrating our 15th anniversary at BCV on May 13/09, beginning a week at WDW (after a few nights at HHI). May 13th is the actual day of our wedding anniversary - I can check the engraving on my ring if I ever forget.

We're also celebrating my husband's birthday during a DCL cruise - after a week at WDW for Halloween. His birthdate is one of the days we're on the cruise. After debarkation, we get to stay for a short while at the THVs (which will thrill my husband)!

While we would have liked to travel on other dates to catch WDW events not happening on our special occasions, I felt it important to celebrate these events right when they happen - and not months after the fact.

The Magic will be headed to Europe for our birthdays next year but we decided on the Sept WB Transatlanic instead of April EB.
