We were there in the first week of May and it was SOOOOO miserably HOT!
I won't do that again (97 highs) uuugh

What's the first week of October like - still hot? Moderate?

We might be going back in December - but I want to get at least a four day trip in during the free dining fun :)

We have been several times is December and the weather is wonderful then. We are going 9/24-10/2 and are a little concerned about heat and rain......

yeah - I knew the rain was an issue in September, so that's why I was leaning toward October. :) But, it is just the first week - so maybe it wouldn't necessarily avoid that problem anyway ;)

And, we went last December and it was PERFECT! So, we may try to go back the week of the 19th (AND the October trip - if I can talk DH into it) :rotfl:

Gotta get my monies worth in these APs :)

Average highs the beginning of October are warmer than the beginning of May.

oh, bother!

Oh well. <sigh>

Maybe I'll just have to grin and bear it - and plan accordingly. (Get there upon opening, leave midday - plan to return at night)

We've gone a couple of times during the first week of October and once during the middle of October. The weather has always been nice. Very warm in the day and then cooling by night time. Sometimes it was too cool at night for the kids to swim very long (we're from the south, it has to be hot for us ;) ). I agree, the temps may be higher in October than in the beginning of May, but it doesn't seen as humid to us. I think that can make a big difference. I will say that we have just about melted at a couple of MNSSHParties in our costumes, so I guess it does stay fairly warm at night.

Of course, it's always impossible to predict, but we have made 3 trips to Disney in October; this year will be our 4th. We have generally found the weather to be warm, not what we consider to be really, really hot. Our last trip in 2002, I only remember it raining on us in the parks one time and that lasted maybe all of 10-15 minutes. We love October!

I've been to WDW the end of October and it was 100 degrees!!!! It really doesn't cool down to a confortable level until thanksgiving time!

We go early May and late October every year. We find the weather to be similar to each other. However, remember that early October is STILL part of hurricane season (why we go the end of October). I think both months average about mid-80s.

:goodvibes :rotfl: Thanks - I needed that giggle tonight (after a very long day of dealing with crabby it's-too-hot-to-go-outside 7, 5, 3, and 1 year old girls!)

Even highs in the 80s are cool with me - we just hit those awful 95+ days back in May and it SUUUUUCKED. Sooo hot - I felt sorry for all those Cinderellabration characters!
