and ill buy chocolate covered strawberry's too. if they have them.

Man, I LOVE chocolate strawberries, especially the ones at DL, but when I went last week and saw them in the candy shop I was :scared1:'ed at the recent price increase. They are now $5.00 PER STRAWBERRY!!! (I think it's technically $4.95). I just couldn't justify that price for one berry!

yes i know im putting 40 away for them in less i find a place to buy the chocolate an stuff an make them my self

choc covered strawberries are very easy to make Jade, you can usually find the choc sauce in the grocery store, in the produce section. :) It's different from ice cream sauce. :) Anyway, if you do get your own sauce & berries it's a lot cheaper but you need to warm the chocolate so it's probably something you should do in your room. :)

What's the 5 day meal plan? I've never heard of it. I didn't know DL offered meal plans.

Now yes some ppl dont like it I how ever love it my family an I use it every time as long as we are doing charcter meals an we do. this time we are even doing Mickeys breakfast so five day works for us.

there vouchers sent in the package you order. if getting tickets an emal plan its called passporter pluse.
if you have your own place to stay.

if want it with place to stay get a package deal an say you want to add it

if you know how to use it you do not lose money.

(2-15vouchers per peron at bb pays for my food an dessert an my hubby dont have to get cheap plate he can get what he wants.)

hum well might be a good thing to order from vons

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 If you do get it make sure to get yoruself some bananas and strawberries to dip in it. :) Also Rice Krispie treats are awesome in chocolate. :)

What's the 5 day meal plan? I've never heard of it. I didn't know DL offered meal plans.

You're definitely asking the right person!! Jade is our resident expert on the dining plan. :)

What's the 5 day meal plan? I've never heard of it. I didn't know DL offered meal plans.

Just so that you are aware...Jade is one of the only ones on this board who supports the DLR meal plan.

DLR's dining plan is not worth it for most of us because:
a) It doesn't save you any money, the best you can do is break even.

b) You do not get a set amount of meals, you get a set amount of $5 ("snack") and $15 vouchers and when you use those vouchers you don't get change. So for example if you want to pay for something that costs $4.95 with a $5 voucher, you will lose 5 cents. That's not a big deal, but if you have run out of $5 vouchers, you need to either pay in cash (which defeats the purpose of a dining plan) or pay with a $15 voucher and lose $10.05 (which can add up significantly). Disney also prices the dining plan so that you pay exactly for the amount of voucher $ that you get. So by buying that thing for $4.95, you are already losing money. You would have to buy things that cost exactly $5 or exactly $15 in order to stay even. Or you can buy things that cost more and you can break even, but you would have to be paying out of pocket.

c) You can't use the vouchers at Downtown Disney restaurants, which is where a large variety of the DLR restaurants are.

Instead, if you still want to prepay for meals, the recommendation is to put money on Disney gift cards. That way, you know you won't be losing money. You can use them at DTD or snack carts too, so you'll have a wider variety to choose from also.

I 2nd DLR29. If you add up the cost of the plan, then add up the cost of eating at each location you want, you actually can't even break even. It is really a rip off.

That being said, I know people love to pre-pay for stuff so you don't have to worry about it while you are there. I love to do this too. But as DLR29 said, put the money on a prepaid card and don't lose money on the dining plan.

well if you are a family one of those 15vouchers can pay for three treats. an ive done the math maybe you should too because actuely you get more foods worth with the vouchers. then if you were to pre pay on a card in less an only if you got your charcter meals from get away today. only then an not every time is it less cash. add up what you pay for an where pre paying works for the meal plan.

If i put the same amount in the voucher book on a card it would end up being more cash.

Disney gift cards are only accepted at Disney restaurants and not all restaurants in DTD are Disney (and therefore are not accepted).
