So upset! O'hana's NOT having regular menu on Thanksgiving day!

I called 180+10 days in advance to plan meals and we LOVE O'hanas so I chose it for our 1st night dinner. We will not have tickets for the parks on that day so that makes it an even better idea. My family loves this place and we thought it would be fun to have a very non traditional meal for Thanksgiving this year. And then months later I happen upon some info that says that O'hanas will not be having the regular menu instead they will have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner! It honestly NEVER crossed my mind that they would do this. Maybe I am just stupid but now i will have to call and see if there is anything left for the rest of the week ! My week of well planned meals does not include our favorite now! My DH is not going to be thrilled with that!
Plus now I need to decide where to eat on Thanksgiving day. We really didn't want the traditional meal and I know there won't be much else to choose from.
I am just SO mad at myself for not knowing that! I thougth the only turkey we would have would be grilled on that open fire pit!

We did 'Ohana for Thanksgiving a few years ago. It was AWFUL!!! I was so looking forward to the regular menu then got to the restaurant and received less than school quality food. I was so angry. For what it's worth, we have been very disappointed in all Thanksgiving meals except for Chef Mickey's. Now, Chef Mickey's will always be our choice for Thanksgiving meal.

A few Thanksgivings ago we ate at Kona Cafe on T Day.
We noticed then that OHana's was listing more of the traditional T-Day meal. But they sure were packed anyway.
At Kona, in addition to the regular menu, they offered more of a tradional T-Day meal as a special of the day. It had a little different flare than just a regular turkey dinner, and was very good. For one set price it included the dessert.

I had the same thing happen only at CG!! I called last Sunday to change my ressie with no problems at all. I switched CG to another night and decided to do mexican at San Angel on Thanksgiving night!! Hopefully you will have the same luck!!!

Ok, I just called and cancelled my Thanksgiving day at Ohana's and she was able to get Ohana's for us on Saturday night of Thanksgiving weekend! I was shocked it was available!!

I work in a grocery store...let me just say that 99% of the the people I deal with would be freaked out if they couldn't eat turkey on Thanksgiving. Have you ever seen that guy who forgot to buy the turkey early in the week and thinks he can thaw one out the same day? They do exist...every year.
BTW...we love lasagne for Christmas. Glad you got your ressies!
