..so upset, need to vent :-(

Hi Erin. I know there have been brides on here in the past who only had numbers in the 20's or low 30's and they still had a fabulous time. I don't think it's dumb. People are still going to have an amazing time and you can still have the wedding of your dreams. The people that are coming are the ones who truly want to share in your day. Would you really just want people there as fillers? You'll have a perfect day!

I'm having a custom and we are going to be lucky to have that many come to our wedding at the moment we only have 8 people coming so dont worry. You will have a great time no matter what its your day so you have what you want- You only get married once

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I am having a custom wedding too with only 25 people or so. I will admit that I won't have the dj and dancing, but that is because it really isn't my style. I think the dancing is okay, even with a smaller group. In fact in will be more personal, and you will get to see everyone's corny dancing. :rotfl2:

We had 26 people and a DJ - it was fab! i dont know about the ADH as we were in the Boardwalk but we all had a great time! Our DJ really made the party - he even had everyone doing the conga around the convention centre!

You will have a great time no matter how many people!

I think having that number of guests is great not too much and not too little.. It will be beautiful just wait and see

I had a custom wedding, with 27 people, including my husband and myself. We had a DJ and characters, and trust me, it was far from corny! Having a DJ and dancing is just our style. Hubby and I LOVE to dance, and I think it would have been corny had we not had a DJ. It'll be great, you'll see!

Our custom event was also small. The thing I loved most about that was every person who was there spent time with us on our happy day, not just a fleeting glance. We danced with everyone, and did all the traditional moments, just had fewer people that were just looking on. The DJ was great, and our EM did a great job setting up the Living Seas VIP Lounge so it felt right, and not like there was a bunch of open, empty space!

I think 25 is a great number - you'll really be able to spend time with each guest, instead of feeling like you hardly saw anyone in the rush to greet everyone. Plus, the DJ's whole job is to get everyone dancing and having a great time, no matter how many guests there are. It's gonna be great! :thumbsup2

we had our site visit last weekend and looked at ADH, and I was asking about the guest capacity there...i was told it holds up to 170, so then I asked what is the usual lowest number of guests they recommend having at ADH, and she said about 40. Any less than that and the room might be a little overwhelming and won't feel as intimate.

My suggestion would be to wait and see if you hear back from more guests, and keep ADH if you hit that 40 mark. If not, call your planner and see if there might be another location that would be better for 25 people? It just seems like you'd be paying a very expensive minimum for ADH if there are only 25 guests.

As for having a DJ, I say go for it no matter how many guests there are! They always make the reception fun for everyone :cool1:

We had a custom wedding at ADH with only 20 people and it was the perfect location, not overwhelming at all. All our tables were down on the dance floor and the food was up on the next level. Having everybody on the same level gave it such an intimate feel.

I thought it was perfect and would do it the same way all over again!
