So True

My point was GWB waited 2 years to say thanks, a counter to Stuart who thinks we forgot his gratitude.

But you underscore the point by taking a shot at the President, when you could have just left it at "he was 2 years late". And that, is my point. Canadian criticism of the US is now often conjoined with these witty little barbs.

And you're right... today, I do have too much time on my hands. But not any more, my two year old is calling. :love2:

nothing gratuitous about it! Prove there are WMD's and I take it back! you have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on you hands.
My point was GWB waited 2 years to say thanks. This is a board forum dedicated to helping each other out, not insulting.
Funny now there is no rebuttal when lefties also believed the WMD issue to be a true one. If memory serves, though, Bush had a visit planned to Canada while Chretien was in office but as soon as the then-PM rejected participation in the efforts to liberate the Iraqis he cancelled the visit to focus, rightly, on the people that would supporting the United States in their efforts. Did you expect some sort of "royal" treatment just because it's Canada? Gosh, reminds me of the threads I read about people whining about the fact that there aren't any Canadian-specific discounts being offered at WDW this year. Also, sorry, but the forum title is also "Community Board" so I believe this thread fits the bill.

"What's the definition of a Canadian? An unarmed American with healthcare."
Yeah, that one ranks right up there with the "Nobody died when Clinton lied" bumper stickers I see now and again down here. Of course, the lefties always get a good chuckle out of it. Give me a break. They're the same ones that think that pornography corrupts women, but find nothing wrong
with a 50 year old president seducing a 21 year old intern. The comment on that t-shirt, though, validates Mr. Mckenna's opinions about the attitudes of Canadians. As I said before, so much for being the "Friendliest nation on earth".

In your case though from reading some of yours, even though you edited them out, I think my earlier assessment of you is pretty well spot on.
In the first place, I didn't edit anything "out". Secondly, how do you know I can't vote in the US? Thirdly, do you think I give a flying crap what your "assessment" is of me?

Stuart what Clinton did was terrible and no matter how many time he apologises for it it is still wrong. Does this mean he was a bad president well I have no idea I try not to follow American politics ours are bad enough and getting worse all the time. I used to be happy that in Canada teh drag your opponent through the mud commercials and radio ads didn't exist or weren't as previlent as they are in the US but alas we have gotten just as bad. The T Shirt makes me laugh because I have many friends that live all over the US and that is something that they have said to me so I found it ironic that it was found to be something hurtfull by an american. Some of my friends try to throw Disney in my face like well you wouldn't have Disney if it wasn't for an american so I fire right back that the US wouldn't have Disney if it wasn't for his Canadian parents. It makes me laugh how many people find even the smallest comments offensive on both sides of the border.

That would be because I'm at work and have no time to research the quotes.

I still do not find it very Disney-like to insult people on these boards. I assume we're all adults, let's act like it, not like catty 12-year-old girls!!!
Post your links to articles where ever you want, but to insult people who do not share the same opinion as you do.
