So those that have eaten at Both Emeril's in Universal, At Emeril's "Tchoup Choup"

Tchoup Chop has a bit of an Asian flavor, where as the one of City Walk is more Cajun/creole

Our impression is similar to minniejack's. Tried to love Emeril's... didn't. We were planning on ordering the degustation menu, but couldn't find enough courses that sounded appetizing, so we settled for steak. It was not memorable and the service was inattentive. Tchoup Chop is a lovely restaurant with an interesting menu and plenty of servers. The atmosphere is chic yet, friendly.

We prefer the CityWalk Emeril's. As others have said, the Tchoup Chop is more Asian inspired whereas the CityWalk restaurant is more creole/cajun. Most times lunch is less busy but we've never had any issues with service at the CityWalk restaurant for either at lunch or dinner. We've always had excellent service and excellent food. It's all about what type of food you prefer. If price is an issue, definitely think about lunch over dinner.

I like them both, but prefer Tchoup Chop more. Tchoup Chop has a more relaxed atmosphere with the lilypond in the center of the restaurant. The food prices also seem less at Tchoup Chop.

Emeril's is what you would think for the most part; New American with Cajun/Creole influences. It is also much more expensive than Tchoup Chop, but I find the food/service at both places to be great. Emeril's offers a 3 course lunch crunch pre fixe menu for under $20, which is a steal. Both restaurants also have a happy hour with various cheaper drinks/food. Tchoup Chop recently started lunch again with some Bento Boxes/Sushi. I think the atmosphere at Tchoup Chop is amazing and you get a lot more bang for your buck our of dinner for sure, as most the entrees are well under $30. You can't go wrong either way though!

Emeril's is way easier to find, if that helps! We darn near missed our reservation at Tchoup Chop last year because we had a hard time locating it (walking from City Walk), even after asking for directions in the lobby of the RPR.

The walkway from Citywalk ends at the entrance to Tchoup Chop. But I can see where it could be confusing as most people would expect the restaurant to be closer to the lobby area instead of the convention rooms. The boat dock is also located near Tchoup Chop.
