Good morning! Congrats on the house! I know how stressful it can be! Just exactly one year ago today we found out that the bid we had put in on our new house had been accepted. Luckily, we had accepted an offer on our first house just a couple of days before. We put our house on the market on Monday and had accepted an offer by Wednesday. Selling one house and buying another at the same time was really stressful but it was all worth it in the end. We love, love, love our new house! Good luck with your next step!

I am in total shock about the contract. It's been on the market 1 week and we got a really good offer today and accepted!

While I am very excited, we have no idea what we are going to do!! And we close April 27th! So, DH and I will be having some serious discussions about our plans beyond selling our home! Please continue those prayers!

YAY! That's awesome!! Enjoy the break... I have one more week of teaching before I get a short break. Can't wait.... maybe the weather around here will smarten up by then too. Way too much snow yet.

Thanks Kelly! We are going to discuss seriously this weekend what we want to do! Yesterday, amidst my excitement, I was silently freaking out! But that's all gone today - very excited and ready to move forward!

Okay - so last night, I crawl into bed, giddy from the excitement of finishing up my project and from our house going under contract...

I turned to DH and said "Today was a great day, huh? AND in just 3 months, I get to make our dining reservations for our trip!!"

DH slowly rolls his head to look at me... and I can see the words of wisdom about to pour from his mouth... and he says:

"I cannot even believe that you know how many days there are until you can make reservations."

(wah-wah-wah....KABOOM)

I quickly replied "I cannot even believe that you might consider that I wouldn't!" He just laughed.... one of these days... he's gonna finally "GET IT" and be able to admit that he, too, is a Disney-holic!

Too Funny! And I had almost the same conversation with my hubby last night!!

me: Guess what, I bought my first books for Disney today!
dh: Books? What kind of books? What do you need books for?
me: Planning silly, do you know it's only a couple months till I make reservations?

Okay... most recent update! And it has nothing to do with Disney... well, actually bits and pieces are affected by Disney...

We have found a house! It seems the sale of our current home is very clean, no anticipated problems, inspections on Thursday, and so forth...

So this weekend, DH and I did a lot of talking about what we would like, how much we want to spend, about being modest in our 'desires' Which honestly... I don't want all of our money buried in a house. I want a home that is 'a home' of which I can finish raising my children and be happy there with DH while we just get older and older... (and this is where I remind you that I'm turning 40 this summer... )

We found one and put an offer on it today!

It seems everything is going well - including my realtor calling me and telling me that the asking price dropped $5,100 right before she finished the contract offer! OH ya'll (my 'roots' coming out there) I don't want to be setting myself up for disappointment. I'm not a negative person and it seems to all just be falling into place... but I know I will be disappointed if this does not work out. Everything and everyone is telling me that it will... just erring on the side of caution, I suppose...

Anyway - in deciding on the home, we went with something we can eventually put in some really cool backyard 'stuff' like a pool, maybe??

And we won't be so strapped in to a house payment, that we can continue our Disney trips! I seriously thought about that!! I know I should be thinking 'savings for kid's college fund' but my mind went to 'Disney World....'

Ah well.... I'll keep you updated! One small cheer - got an A on my final project in school!

And now I'm off to try to catch up with you all and your threads!!

WOW what an awesome couple of days you have had! So excited for your new house I remember going through all that just a couple of year ago when we bought ours, I worried and worried but in the end we ended up in just the right house and it even was perfect for my music studio(which I didn't even know I wanted at the time!) And I am soooo with you on the WDW thing. My dh was talking about a bonus at work that he will probably get and all I thought of was MORE DISNEY! DOn't think that was in his plan though!

Thank you! Everything is moving along very smoothly which is kind of freaking me out!! Isn't it funny how we anticipate the negative from time to time??

Anyway - we are in full 'wait mode.' We have the home inspections on our house tomorrow (the one we are selling) so I really feel like once we are beyond that and all is 'OKAY' then we shouldn't have any surprises... hope I'm not jinxing us by saying that!

But we will close in 5 weeks so it's time to pack and think about having a garage sale! We will actually move out in 4 weeks and 4 days... so it's going to be here before we know it.

At least this gives me something else to focus on for a bit instead of being so Disney obsessed!! Actually - that will never happen!

How are the wedding plans? Have you heard from Zach?

Hi joining in on your PTR. We're going back to Disney this November!!! I just started my PTR too. Congrats on the "A" and Congrats on the house. That's great news. I havn't read all the way through yet just the first and last page so i'm off to do that!

OH MY GOODNESS... I had to go dig my PTR out of the trenches of the disboards. Thank God I found it!

Okay - going to try to get caught back up on all of my threads - have been keeping tabs on them through my email (quick scan here and there) but wanted to let you know I'm still 'here' and looking a lot like this - - these past couple of days!!

We are still moving forward with sale of home and purchase of new. All is moving along as expected with the exception of DH missing out on all of the fun and negotiating. He's smack in the middle of baseball season and has played daily for the past two weeks - tonight he is home (not yet but will be in about 30 minutes). So I'm going to try to catch him up on what all is going on. He was fine until the word "REPAIR" hit him in the face in regards to the inspections on our home that we are selling and what the buyer would like to see done. And I have to say I absolutely agree if I was the buyer, I would want these things done. What DH needs to understand, or see for himself, is the necessity, that we aren't getting the short end of the stick, and life will be good once we are through this part.

And it will.... he has just missed out on all of the communication - I'm the middle man - and he sorta pulled on the reins when he heard our chimney is going to have to be relined. (hence why I look like this guy) Anyway - we'd reline it even if we were staying - so thankful we haven't exploded our home NOT KNOWING the condition it was in. My realtor keeps asking HOW that was not uncovered when we bought the home 3.5 years ago?!?! Poor inspector, I suppose.

So anyway - had to get on here and update, take a peek at my ticker, and say hello to everyone!!

Thank goodness this is all happening while I'm on break from school, right??
