For the past couple of weeks, my DH and I have been talking about going to WDW around weekend after Thanksgiving 2010. Dates are pretty flexible around that time.

So....first thing I do once we settled on a timeframe, is I came here to start researching. I starting telling him all the things we could do, blah, blah blah and he turned to me and said.......have you thought about maybe doing a cruise? :scared1: Just to make sure I understood.....I made sure he was talking about a DCL cruise, and he said...it might be fun. :cloud9:

So...now, my planning has turned from just WDW to WDW with cruise! :woohoo:

The land/sea cruises are too short on the WDW side. We would probably want to do a 4 day cruise AND then at least 7 days in WDW.

My question is....is this something that you can do first of all? And second....is this wayyyy too much to do in one vacation?

DH is looking at this as a once and a lifetime opportunity. I'm looking at it as the first of many trips to come!

While I can't say money is no object, money isn't the deciding factor on what we do. I figure I have many months to plan and look for codes and pins and the like. I do have a pin for 30/35/40 resort, that I just lucked into, so it's now looking for discounts for other things.

Am I nuts to try to plan all of this? I've barely planned a birthday party, so this is all new to me...but I"ve been reading this board for the last couple of years, so I feel I am fairly prepared for this.

Thanks for listening to me babble....off to find those tickers, everyone has!!

You can do it!!! We had our once in a lifetime trip 5 years ago....7 days at Disney and a 7 day Disney Cruise!! It was AWESOME!!!

Plan and enjoy!!

I don't personally think it's too much for one trip, but it sounds like you and your husband need to make sure you're on the same page about it. It sounds like he thinks you're going to do it big like this because it's the only time you'll do it (or the only time for many, many years). If you do want it to be more frequently, then perhaps it might be wiser to be more conservative on this one to leave both the finances and new opportunities to explore open to return sooner.
