We were suppose to leave today for our trip to DL for 6 nights, staying at HOJO.. But, between hubby being off work due to an injury and just having shoulder surgery and me being 28 weeks pregnant... we had to cancel our trip.. Our last trip was December 2008 and at that time we had bought annual passes and now not able to use them.. Between feeling sad, depressed, I will like we have lost money.. We wont be able to make it back to DL now at least until next fall... and thats such a LONG time away...

First off,Congrats on the little one. Don't worry,Disneyland will still be there next fall. Bummer on not being able to use your APs. I 'kinda' know how you feel about the $,I've been unemployed for almost 5 months now.

I know the feeling.... I watched a trip in September that had been on my calendar for months pass by without me. It was supposed to be for DD3's birthday.

But you have a baby on the way, and that is totally exciting!

i can relate a little, too....although we missed our trip due to my dad dying, not money. we skipped disneyland and spent quality time with family out of state instead.

i hope your hubby's shoulder heals quickly and that you feel great for the duration of your pregnancy! don't let it get you down....as others have said, disneyland isn't going anywhere. maybe it's a blessing in disguise, and you just can't see it yet.

I missed a trip to Disneyland recently due to a foot injury. I was SO sad. So I know how you feel. It looks like the way things are going, unless I get a second job, it will be at least a year before we go. I don't even like thinking of it...

Congratulations on the new baby. That is so exciting.

We missed a trip last year because with the slowdown in building, we just couldn't afford it. We were supposed to be travelling with friends, and they went without us. It just broke my heart. We did end up going a few months later, but that feeling of missing out just turned my stomach!

The best (worst) part was that the week were supposed to be in DL turned out to be a terrible week. I got rear ended, among other things. I felt like Dante from "Clerks"- "I'm not even supposed to be here today!"

Now I'm planning a "surprise" trip for the kids in February. We have APs, too, so they need to get used at least once before they expire!
