I am attempting to rent points for two studios at GCV's for the beginning of June. It doesn't look good at all for availability. The owner can't yet see all 7 days, but in the morning is the 7 month mark. Maybe her phoning first thing in the morning will produce some kind of Disney miracle. I really had my heart set. :(

I'll take a look for you as I own at GCV, but that may not help you tomorrow. Your owner will have to be online or on the phone right away tomorrow morning. What were your days?

June 9th -16th. She said that she could only see availability 12th - 14th.

9-11 has no availability. The rest is open. You might want to consider a 1br rather than two studios. There are two full bathrooms in a 1br and a full kitchen. You will be able to save some money on food if you can cook in your unit. The 1br has a pullout bed in the living room as well as a murphy bed. Studios always book up first and are the hardest to get because of the lower point requirement.

Was it just studios not available? Any two bedrooms available? We have 7 so a one bedroom wouldn't work.

Sorry but the 1 bdrm is now unavailable on the 9th and the 2 bdrm unavailable on the 10th and 11th.

Two bedroom dedicated is available all of the dates except for the 10th and 11th. Lock off units are available all but the 9th, 10th and 11th..

Grand Villa is available on the 10th and 11th and sleeps 9. 106 points per night though and it would mean a split stay.

For the number of people you have, you could book rooms cheaper through DLR than it would cost you for the grand villa. The person you are renting from may not have the point availability to rent the GV for two nights in addition to the 2br for the rest of the nights.

And even if my dates are flexible that will just make us keep moving up the 7 month mark. Maybe if I change to the next week a two bedroom will be available. Thanks for checking for me!!!!!

Arghhhhh! This is so frustrating!

The problem with DLR and DVC is that there is such low availability and high demand. Point values are high vs. most of the WDW resorts, too. Thanks for the reminder. I had better book us a week in June just in case we decide to go. If I wait any longer, they will all be booked up.

There's only a 4 point difference per night (2 X 52 vs 106) so it's quite possible the owner would have 8 extra points for the grand villa.

OP, the dedicated 2 bdrms are available for the week of the 16th but no way of knowing how many or if they'll be available by the time the 7 month window opens. Hope something works out for you.

I think the OP was looking for two studios or 1 2br, not 2 2br units. Is that correct OP?

Starting from June 12 on there is currently open availability for 2br units. HTH and good luck. While checking for you, I went ahead and booked our 1br for a week in June.

That is correct. My budget would only allow for two studios or one two bedroom. The grand villa would be awesome, but who would buy my kids Christmas?;)

Ha!! Of course you only need a 2 bdrm for 7 people! Good grief but I must really be tired!

The dedicated 2 bdrm units are usually the last to book so your chances for one of those are better than for 2 studios. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

We own 320 points and that would gobble them up pretty quickly. We have gotten to tour the grand villa and it is spectacular! For you, given both choices of 2 studios or a 2 br, I would go with the 2 br. You have three full bathrooms, a washer/dryer and a full kitchen. For the 7 of you, you will be very comfortable. Best of luck to you!

Well my DVC owner is taking another shot this Friday morning for me for 6/16-6/23. Dare I even ask how that week looks? Scared!!!!!

Did you decide to go with two studios or a 2br?

Oh, I wish I had good news, but both studios and 2br are booked on the 16th-18th and studio is also booked on the 19th.
