Humidity sucks!!

I live in Alabama and the past month has just been awful. The sunny part is great some of the time but it's the humidity that is the really bad part. Right now my lawn is dying and I'm sick of stepping outside my door at 9am only to be smothered by the heavy blanket of humidity that just hangs in the air. We've had a few rainstorms pass thru but only enough to make it muggier outside instead of lowering the temperature.:headache: The heat index is supposed to be in the 100-110 range this week and that is with humidity.

Right now we are dreaming of the winter we spent in Wisconsin years ago. :rotfl:

It is funny though to see the reactions of people from our northern offices when they come down to visit, though.:lmao:

Roll on Autumn!

I am tired of going out of the house and having my glasses fog up :lmao:

Last night in Central Indiana....According to the 10:15pm weather, the heat index was still 100 outside (with a temp of 86).

This morning, a little before 6am it was 83 outside. It supposed to get to 94-95 today with a heat index of 105-110.

Thank God for air conditioning!!

I so agree, I hate summer anyways. The bugs, humidity, heat, it really sucks. You can't do anything without sweating. I so live in the wrong state!

I agree with you 100%. I said to a friend this morning "I cannot wait until there is a chill in the air." I love October!

Not a fan of summer. I hate the bugs and humidity.

We had that weather the past 3 weeks. Sorry its made its way down to you. It was HORRID. I have been praying for fall too. Thankfully last weekend the humidity finally broke. I couldn't take much more of it.

It's supposed to be 105 here today. I don't know about the heat index. :(

September is right around the corner! :goodvibes

Time for harvest festivals, cooler weather, bonfires and all of the stuff that makes Autumn the BEST time of the year (at least in PA!).

Summer is absolutely horrible. I walk outside and begin to swelter, thinking, "How can ANYONE enjoy this?" :rotfl:

I agree, humidity sucks. I'm so tired of it. We've got today and tomorrow to get through then Saturday a cold front comes in for the weekend. Temps in the high 70's/low 80's and much, much lower (if at all) humidity.

I.can't.wait!!!!!

I hate to "wish summer away" but I'm so tired of the heat and humidity.

September and October are my favorite months, and I'm really looking forward to them this year.

Fair warning-we had a week break and now it is back again and heading your way, sorry.

As bad as it's been in NY, all the lawns half dead, crazy heat and humidity, I'll take this hot summer any day of the week over the winter. Any day. I like Fall but all it reminds me of is that winter is around the corner, ugggh.

That's another reason why I love living in WA. I live on the eastern, dry side. The summers are absolutely blissful here! It didn't get much above 80 for most of the summer. Now we are in the low 90s, but it doesn't feel like it because it's so dry. I lived in NC for 18 years before here and don't miss that swampy feeling!

I'm looking forward to fall for another reason.....SCHOOL! ;)

One thing for us though is that we have had a LOT of rain. Our lawn looks GREAT :lmao:. We have only had to water once all summer. We may have to water tomorrow if we don't get rain tonight though.

I agree completely. Here in Florida we really do not lose the humidity and cool down until late October and sometimes not until November. :scared1: I was in Alaska last month and every time I step outside I wish I was back there! :goodvibes

I live in middle TN and i am miserable. We have an excesive heat warnng in effect,no clouds and 96 degrees with a heat index at 111 degrees.
My cars A/C doesn't work and I have to take m DM to work around 2pm. I am dressing cool and bringing water.

I told the teller at the bank i would make snow angles naked if it would snow right now, ROFL!

I love everything about Fall. I'm not ready to say good-bye to Summer yet though. I hate the heat and humidity too but I love the other aspects of summer a lot. The time off, the kids home, and the vacations. Oh, also boating and swimming. I start jonesing for Fall right around Labor Day.

LOL

DH and are I are very much Autumn/Spring people...we love the crisp cool air before cold (as far as we get in winter) dreary days set in. And also the weather when it just starts warming up after winter but before the pollen typhoon hits. We love the 70-80 degree weather when you can actually step outside without your clothes either sticking to you or freezing to you. :lmao:

I love where we live it's just the weather that sucks at times. This weather has just been crazy..I don't think our AC has kicked off once the past month.:sad2:

One of my favorite things is when we turn the heat on for the first time when the weather is getting colder...just weird me I guess. I love getting out my sweaters and making warm thick soups in the winter. I also look forward to the pumpkin patches, Halloween and fall festivals. Thinking of those things makes the weather bearable a bit.

This oppressive humidity is so draining. Our a/c bill is going to be a whopper, but money well spent.

We have spent so much time indoors since last november here in mn with the colder than average winter, the cool and rainy spring and the humid, hot and rainy summer.
