I've read a few threads lately about dress attire at Palo for brunch and it seems that everybody has said that Polos are ok. I thought that it would actually require a long sleeve button down shirt since the website recommended jackets but if polos are ok, I'm much more comfortable in that. I plan to dress business casual then. Dress shoes/loafers, slacks, and a polo shirt.

Has anybody actually been turned away because they were wearing a polo shirt to Palo brunch?

Yes, Polo shirts are fine. We have done 4 Palo brunches and DH wore Polo's twice, and short-sleeve button down shirts twice (both Polynesian style). Never had a problem with either. His polo shirts are Mickey Mouse playing golf, so maybe that made a difference ;) He wore all 4 shirts with khaki dockers and slip on docker type boat shoes.

Pretty much business casual and what you would see in any typical office setting.

Jackets are recommended for dinner, but not required. DH never brings a jacket on vacation and wears a button-down and tie for Palo dinner. At brunch he usually wears slacks and a polo or short-sleeved button-down (no tie).

Your plan on what to wear to brunch is what I've worn to brunch every time (10+) without any issues.

For dinner I will wear a dress shirt and tie along with the slacks and dress shoes.

I have NOT seen anyone turned away wearing a polo ... unless it was the couple in "matching" "fashionable (NOT)", worn, torn, faded (all stylish .. NOT!!) jeans. They returned a half an hour later appropriately dressed (well actually OverDressed for brunch - but I guess they didn't want to risk being turned away twice for the same meal.

One of the dudes in our group wore a jacket, my honey didn't bring one but he did wear a nice golf polo shirt, a pair of khakis, and those 'nice' sketcher style not quite tennis shoes. (Those shoes also were perfect for pirate night since they were black.) We did brunch. Had it been a nice dinner, he would have worn his dress shirt and tie with dress pants. For brunch, it was right on. Us girls wore cute bright knee-length dresses, a gold sweater, and I did a side chignon with rhinestones (and of course, I wore my tiara!) ;)
