I have not bothered to share with my older child that the quest is even going on this weekend.
And the youngest wouldn't know what I was talking about anyway
I've learned long ago which events to encourage my kids to do and when to send them out to play while I stay in and get frustrated- there are some things that aren't meant for little kids- this quest is one of them. The only young children who will get through this- have parents getting them through
I've played all day today- and actually was in 3 games of pirates none with advancers for one reason or the other- the rest of the time was waiting to get into lobby and then crashing as we get into game and starting it all over.
This is definitely a server test for them- and should have been anticipated. They could keep the quest the same if they allowed more time to complete it there would be less lag- sure this weekend would have been bad since most people want it first- but it would get easier to achieve later on.
We have already seen that it is doable- but it is NOT doable by the majority. It is the few who will get through- the older more experienced player- and there is no way I'd even attempt without an outside connection.
We have seen too where people commit to completing the task for a team only to abandon their team mates when they need to finish. Like I said to a few others- it is events like this that you truly learn who your friends are.
I do feel sorry for those kids who get into the lobby and are waiting for friends but have no way to communicate outside the game- they are stuck there trying to decide to go without- do the scary and let a stranger in who may or may not follow the "rules", or wait and hold up lines for a long long time.
Just a little lower score and I think it could be more attainable.
Or leave it the same and allow more time...
I have mentioned before that they should have set up a few very long quests like this one but with manageable games- that had to have a clue in the end to solve from all the quests- and make it a final answer- then the few would get it too- but at least everyone had a chance...
Congrats to all those who have gotten through the dreaded task and completed the quest.
Good luck to those still attempting...
And a pat on the back for those who have decided it isn't worth it and are going about their vmk day ignoring the quest.
