So Many Disney Sequels!!

I have read up online that Disney are making more sequels to Disney classics, and to be specific, Peter Pan 3, Little Mermaid 3 and Cinderella 3 that are going to be released sometime around 2007.

All I have to ask is why? Why do we need anymore sequels? Can't we just leave it at that and move on?

my dd loves watching the sequels, at the moment she is watching Bambi 2 and can not stop laughing.

Personally I am not a fan of sequels, Disney or otherwise. Rarely is the sequel as good as the original and it seems simply a way of cashing in on a money making film.

I feel that way myself and I used to hate buying them however dd really enjoys watching the ones with her favourite charaters so I guess its worth buying them for her, especially hearing her right now laughing watching bambi 2.

This sums us up also. Bambi 2 is probably one of the better sequels

I have to agree that the primary market (ie children) do love more stories with their favourite characters. My DD (4) certainly does and is a big fan of Bambi 2 , Toy Story 2 , Lilo and Stitch 2 which I can watch along with her.Although Cinderella 2 does drive me to distraction .
