Those people that stay on site have it made. They only have about 25 options to chose from. I bet I've looked 1000 properties in the last 2 days and still can't decide if I want a hotel/suite with free breakfast and option of transportation, a condo or a pool home. All on a budget of 700 for the week. Good thing I've still have over 5 months. We stayed at bonnet creek last time and loved everything about it. This time I think I want to be closer to more dining options. Anyone have a location they want to share ?

Sheraton Vistana is closer to restaurants and very nice. The rooms are remodeled however the facilities look a bit dated compared to Bonnet Creek, but its still very good.

I think Sheraton Vistana is similar in price to WBC. You might try Vacation Village at Parkway. We rented there through RCI and it is a few hundred less per week than WBC and SVR, but still close to what you are looking for, I think.
Just know that their 2 bedroom units are two one bedroom units that share a common foyer. Depending on the age of your kids this may not work (if you have little ones), but it's great for older kids or two families traveling together.

Visitana is one if love to stay at. I was looking at on skyauctions but I've never used skyauctions. It mentioned may 23, 24&25 as 75.00 surcharge. My dates are May 18-25. Do you know if I would have to pay 75 or 225. ?

We are at Orange Lake right now and will return in March. Had our doubts but LOVED it. The pools, the amenities, the activities. Cant wait to come back.

Orange lake looks great too. Maybe I should change my post to somebody help me find a great 2 br timeshare for under 700.00 silver lake looks great too. I think my problem is it's still too far out to get a good deal.

Don't do Vacation Village at Parkway. Nice grounds. Good location but getting a good unit is a bit of a crapshoot. We are there now. Have stayed here before. They have persistent problems in many areas while some are trouble free. In our unit now phone does not work despite two visits from maintenance, smells like something died in the kitchen cupboards and the beds are totally worn out. Across the hall or 1 floor up everything could be perfect. Definitely our last stay here.

And the latest update, wife just found a big silverfish in the sink. We were going to try to change units but we might change hotels instead.

The Sheraton Vistana Resort is fantastic :thumbsup2 . But you are going to have a hard time getting a two bedroom, two bath unit for a week there for your price range. We own there and $700 is less than the yearly maintenance fee for that type of unit. Most owners who are not using their week will probably want to at least recoup their maintenance costs when they rent it out to someone. If you could swing $800 for the week vs. $700, you might have a good chance of securing SVR.

I love the fact that there are so many accommodations options in Orlando :) . It allows us to get EXACTLY what we want and need for each trip :thumbsup2 . I find Disney properties to be rather limiting........other than theming, all the value level resorts are essentially the same, all the moderates are essentially the same (and not much different from the values), etc. Offsite, the sky is the limit.

Thanks For your input Gina. I'm not ready to book yet but there's one on skyauction right now that I think will be under 700. Im still doing my homework.

There are some marriott brand hotels on vineland ave, also known as marriott village. Several dining options around, some even walking distance. Crossroads plaza is right up the road with even more dining options.
