Took home from my sons school today a notice that April Vacation is being extended by 1 week to allow the Teachers an opportunity to attend a National Conference coming to Boston!

My first response - "what a nerve" who will take care of my kids for those 2 weeks, I have to work!

My next thought - I love my kids school and it is an awesome opportunity for their teachers (Who I might add are more than deserving of this opportunity)

Then...... My mind really began to churn This means I could be outside "peak" DVC time let me check

Sure enough! We are out of peak DVC point time so you guessed it, there is a trip in our future

That's great! Did you find out if Disney waived ROFR on your contract?

My kids go to a small Catholic School in Winchester. I think it is an Archdiocese thing! But it appeared to be at the Principals discretion.

Our dates are from Holy Thursday April 15th (I think) - April 28th! (not exactly sure about the return date, but it is close to that!)

How is your luck?

thanks mit, I'm in Billerica and I just checked the school calendar for next year (its on line) and it doesn't say anything . I'm still holding out hope though, thanks for the heads up. That'll be a great long vacation for you! Kim

It is a Catholic School Educators Conference. As far as state wide, maybe for catholic schools, probably not for public

My post title was tricky and I will be honest, I kind of wanted to see how many hits I got if I did it that way!

Seems like all the negative posts get lots of hits, and many negative responses (look at the number of hits on original- 700) compared to honest questions and clean lookin titles that get met with some flak and in some cases "attack".

I definitely feel there is some "LOVE" for the negative from many of the posters on the DIS! I just wanted to spice it up with some "CLEAN" livin'

Oh yeah in case you don't know, my DH and I were approved yesterday for our first DVC purchase (resale-BWV) Just a little happy dancin' here!
