So let's lose electricity with 23 8YO's!!

Oh my! A tranformer blew near our school and we lost electricity twice here in the entire school! Nothing says hoo-haa like being in a dark classroom with 23 3rd graders!! Of course, this makes them all have to go to the bathroom, which they can't do because it's pitch black! AFter 30 minutes or so of no AC is started getting a bit warm, too.

Then, let there be light! YAY!

For about 5 minutes.....

Then OFF again!

Now back on again. Now all we needs a fire drill and my day will be a complete waste!

you sure have my sympathy! My first power failure was with 8th graders. You would think at that age, about to start hs in 3 months, they would be mature enough to deal with a little power failure. Wrong! I think I'd rather have the 3rd graders. At least they're afraid to go into the dark bathroom, you REALLY don't want to know what the 8th gr boys were doing in there.
