all day. You got ponchos on, what shoes are you wearing? Do you pack for a rain day? Do you continue to walk around the parks with wet squishy shoes?

We are headed to WDW for a week in Oct with our 9 and 5 year olds.
Thanks!

If it's a REALLY rainy day, wear sneakers and bring flip flops and a change of socks.

Never walk for extended periods of time in wet foot gear.
I carry an extra pair of socks and flip flops.

First, I live here and I can tell you that an all day rainy day is VERY rare. They do happen but very rare. Depending on when in Oct could determine how much wet you might encounter. The end of Oct is getting away from our "wet" season and starting towards the more dry season in FL. If anything, evening rain maybe what you'll have to deal with.
Bring extra socks and flip flops and you should be fine as it's not good to stay in wet shoes for long periods of time.

I carry very few items with me at the parks in my super light-weight backpack, but I always keep an extra pair of socks in a ziplock bag. I hate having wet feet.

We were there on 1/8/2016 thru 1/15/2016. It poured non stop the first 2 days (1/8 and 1/9). We put on our ponchos and had a great time. It was a bit uncomfortable, but nothing terrible. It shortened wait times for sure.

I have a couple of pair of Clarks flip flop type shoes. Not cheap with loads of support. I wear those, if they get wet it doesn't matter so if you are ever in the park and see a grown woman splashing in the puddles, it's just me cause I can. If it's not warm enough for flip flops, we carry a pair in whatever bag we are carrying, never a big one I can tell you that and change out of our tennis shoes. We also carry an extra pair of socks in those cases. If we are taking tennis shoes on the trip, we always take at least 3 pairs, it takes more than one day for a pair of shoes to dry out in the humidity. I was there the last week in September last year and we had showers every day. There was one day where it pretty much rained on and off all day. I was a happy little woman with my flip flops and rain coat that is like the one the CMs wear. That puppy comes almost down to my feet, buttons almost all the way down, hood has a drawstring and the sleeves have buttons. Nothing wet on me but my little toes.

I have only been in the parks once where it has rained all day, Feb. 17th last year. I hate ponchos and have never found them effective, plus last winter down there was COLD! so I got a proper raincoat at Studios. The only other memorable rain was in August 2009 when it poured inches in a matter of an hour or two. Both times I stayed in the same shoes. My shoes from last year still stink like nothing in this world from that day, I was wearing ballet flats with inserts. In 2009 I was wearing Keens, and after dinner at Le Cellier they were nearly dry. My parents who both wore tennis shoes and didn't pack alternatives had wet shoes for days after.

I have sensory issues, so my arms have to be covered in the rain. Other than if there's predicted rain taking a coat/long sleeves, I don't change anything else about my touring plan or outfits.

Keens for my kid, Tevas for the husband, and Olukai flip flops for me.

We don't usually get all day rain when we go in August but it does rain every day. When it rains my husband and I wear Tevas and our boys are in some type of sandal. This way our feet don't get that yucky feeling from being in wet, closed shoes all day.
