After watching last night's epsidode, I think he is going to die.

Any thoughts?

What's with that huge wound anyway?

looks that way. Now its going to be the fight for control of the family. Do you think Uncle Jr. is really crazy or is it just an act?

I'm going to guess no. There are still alot of episodes left. I think that they might let this play out for awhile though. I think the story line could be really good if his boys mess things up while he's in the coma. Can you imagine how mad he'd be when he comes to???

I loved his coma dream. So weird!

I think Uncle Junior has periods where he is genuinely completely out of it.

AJ was interesting last night. Imagine him taking out Uncle Junior.

I'd really like to see Vito & Janice swim with the fish.

That was a weird episode last night, yes? :teeth: Tony can't die, that would make me very sad :guilty: Is it just me or is Meadow a lousy actress? :confused3

I thought it was really weird too. I was soo anxious to see what happened and all we get is this weird alternate life. I realize there were many messages in the alternate life, but I guess I was looking for more action.

I can't imagine them killing Tony off, but him hanging up the phone in the end and the music (struck me as funeral music) in the background all seems to me like he was giving up.

I really hope Tony doesn't die. That was such a strange dream. He was such a normal guy in the dream, not our "Tony". I know that was the point, to show Tony's dream of his "path not chosen"--a normal middle class life. Odd how I feel sad and actually prefer the tough mafia boss. I guess that is the premise of the entire show, though. He's the lovable mob boss.

The gaping wound was weird. A few times in the scenes at the hospital I almost felt like that was part of the dream too. Just showing that gaping wound...ugh. Doesn't seem right. And the way the characters were acting was a bit strange too...Meadow & AJ especially.

Jr. meant to shoot him and is acting crazy

Kevin Finnerty will be the name given to him when he goes into Witness Protection

I don't think he'll die. I thought last night's episode was terrible though. They started off the season with a bang (literally) and last night just felt completely weak. I dunno, we'll have to wait and see.

I still don't think he's going to die, but last night I wasn't so sure.

I hope they either wake him up quickly or kill him off quickly. The alt-life stuff was boring (although a good way of showing how Tony's life without Tony's power is a life of denigration and disrespect), and I don't want to spend the season without James Gandolfini playing the Tony Soprano I love and loathe. But the power struggle should be good, and I enjoyed AJ's "He won't get away with this" moment.

When AJ said that he'd take out Uncle Jr., I thought... "so there's his way into the 'family'." I wonder how much power that would give him in the big scheme of things.

I thought Carmella was believable. She looked like a wife going through this with her husband. She really looked empty and lost.

to i didnt like last nights show
when they tie up the maun character with this its kinds dumb
like the guy on deadwood last year
when we was sick and could not get outt a bed or talk for several episodes
if they wanna kill him just do it
if not let him wake up
jmo

Very creative! Its not all about murder. I think the writers do a great job showing other sides of these people. For example,I never think of Christopher
being compassionate and the writers show him comforting Carmela. The wrtiers get you to like these characters and as soon as you think they could be decent,WHAM!!! The writers have them doing something so vile.
I think they are really shaping AJ into what I believe will be the most despicable character on the show. He will be his grandmother. Even how he looks is mean. There really is nothing likeable about this kid, absolutely nothing. Carmela knows it. He doesn't have an ounce of goodness.

I hadn't considered the similarity between AJ and his grandmother. I think you are right about this. Gee, with that happening, the show could run on for years and years just with Tony's therapy!

I didn't care for lastnight's show. I also didn't understand the BIG Hole from the gun shot. :confused3

How can they have a show about the Soprano's without Tony? He is the SHOW.

Did anyone notice who's voice was his wife on the phone...I think it was the Mercedes sales girl who killed herself....
and the kids sounded very young
