My best friend got her license in May.
I've only been able to ride around this town with her. I can't go to (town south of here- my hometown) or (town north of here- where the movie theater, bowling ally, mall, etc. is at). My parents say that they don't trust her yet.
Which I kinda see why..
I mean she's crazy and carefree and that can come out on how you drive.
Well now that football season is here she keeps asking me if I'll be able to ride with her to the home games in *south town.
And my parents keep telling me no. I respect their answer and don't argue back. But it's hard for her to understand why I can't without her thinking its because of her wreck a few months ago. Which it has nothing to with that.
Well my boyfriend is getting his license tomorrow.
He should have got it in April when he turned 16, but because of baseball, football, and school it didn't end up getting his permit until March.
Earlier my friend asked me if I was going to be able to ride to the next home football game which is the 25th.
And I told her, I'm already gonna be in *south town so I'm just gonna go over to my boyfriend's house and ride to the game with his mom.
After I said that, I refreshed my myspace page and saw she has JUST set her status as "wow, people these days are so freakin fake and full of nothing but excuses!"
uhh, so she got mad at me because I didn't want to come back to my house just to ride back to the town I'll already be in..
Then she texted me and asked how I was getting home.
'Garrett.'
'oh, so you'll be able to ride with him?'
'yeah'
'wow, thats pretty f'd up'
Me, not wanting to argue or anything just said "yeah".
End of conversation.
My parents already told me I'd be able to ride with him.
It was the same way with my sister, she could ride with her boyfriend places before she could with her friends.
Boys drive better. In my opinion and in my parents. Girls talk, sing, blahblahblah. Well she does anyway. Guy's I've learn actually are much better drivers than girls. IMO.
So.. Is it different with guys, or should I be able to ride with her if I'm allowed to ride with him? In your opinion.
ETA: Okay, all guys don't 'drive better' than girls.. The ones that have drove me around do drive better than the girls I've rode with. They drove more cautiously.
