So I got a PIN...

This is the first email PIN our family has ever gotten, though we have gotten some through snail mail several times in the past. Unfortunately, the PIN I got is for October of this year, and because of school schedules, there's just no way we can use it . It's the "Game On' PIN for 30% off hotel rooms. We probably won't be able to go until January or March 2012, and I know it's still a bit too early to look for PINs for those times. Just wondering if anyone's found that once you get a PIN, you continue to get them, or if anyone's gotten a PIN, but then never received another. I'm really hoping we'll continue to get them and that one is for dates we can work with. Thanks so much!

Of course you can still get them I received one last year and this year - for some reason I only get them during the September free dining - maybe they think I like food in the fall
There are people on here who get them several times per year and others who never get them - it is all random, but there is no rule that once you get one you never receive another one

Thanks for the response! I am aware that you can continue to get them once you've received one. Maybe I didn't make what I was asking clear enough. I was really asking if anyone has noticed if it's common to receive several after the first one you get, or if many people get one only once and then never again. I understand that PINs are seemingly distributed at random, but I was hoping maybe someone would know or have a good guess as to whether either of the above scenarios was more common. There really is no pattern...I have read about people who receive several a year, others who receive 1 once a year and those that never receive them (all three groups are pretty much equal in number). I know a few people that have received a PIN and never received another but I'm not sure how recently they received that first one (it may just be a matter of time).
If there is one piece of advice I can give you, it is to CALL- don't wait! Increasingly Disney is giving out PIN's that are never received by mail or e-mail...maybe it's a glitch in the system - who knows, but there is no harm in calling. Alot of people on here have gotten a huge surprise when they called including a few of the more recent recipients of the quick-service free dining. Pixie dust to you!!!

I received 2 PINs in fall 2009 (one by email, and another by snail mail). We went to WDW in May 2010 for the 1st time using a 40% off PIN. Then last fall 2010, my DH got a PIN by snail mail, and I got 2 PINS by email. Unfortunately, it wasn't in our budget to go again this year and couldn't use the PINS....We plan to go again next May 2012....I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll get a PIN somehow this fall!!!

I had the opposite scenario - we are planning to go in October, I phoned last week and had a PIN that was valid for January through March. Go figure...
