So...I did what I swore I'd never do...I bought a Mac Twin

We're expecting another baby in May and double strollers kinda bug me...they're all just so huge and bulky, and very few would actually fit in the trunk of our car! And I SWORE I'd never buy a Maclaren just because they're so spendy and we just don't have that kind of money. But a few months ago I found a Mac Twin, nearly brand new (with all the extras- cupholders, boots, etc...but no carry bag), on Craigslist for $230 and I got it for $200! (which I just happened to have saved up for *me* money) I figured that was an awesome deal because pretty much ANY good or new double stroller would cost that much and it's like half the price of a brand new Mac.

Anyway, so tell me about it in WDW (and Universal, if possible). Where will it fit (w/out folding on the monorail or boats, for example??), where won't it fit? Can we leave anything in the storage baskets when folding it for buses or do we have to take it all out? What are the chances of it getting stolen? (LOL I know...there are TONS of them at WDW but we aren't rich and most likely wouldn't be able to replace it if it was taken) Do I dare go without a protective bag when gate-checking it for the flights? (it'd be homemade, though...and I figure I'd definitely make one but thought I'd ask anyway)

Just that kind of stuff...and any other tips/thoughts you can share! Thanks!

i've taken a double mac to WDW a few times.

do bag it for flight. spend the $$ for the maclaren bag, it is worth the money. very heavy canvas that can take a beating, and it has wheels. it's a huge bag too, you'll be able to put other things besides the stroller in there.

you won't be able to fold it with stuff in the baskets, maybe something small could stay in there but that's it.

it won't fit in a regular monoral car while open. you can ask the cm at the station which is the handicapped car and if it is not being used by a wheelchair, you can roll it on.

i'd say zero chance of it being stolen. mac's are everywhere in wdw, i think mistaken identity would be your biggest worry so mark yours.

we stayed onsite on Universal and you'll have no issue rolling it on the shuttle boats. but the front area of the boat is small so you'd likely just have to 'park' it.
