I will eat it, but not very often, I much prefer chicken. We used to have it every Christmas, but if at home for the 25th, cook a joint of beef and roast chicken instead!
I don't really like turkey - I pretty much only eat it on Thanskgiving. Oh - there's a sandwich called a Monte Cristo I think - it has turkey and bacon and some kind of mayonnaise dressing - I like that too.
I like turkey alot!!! But this time of year it is so easy to get "turkeyed out". I guess it is just too much of a good thing!!!
That is why for our Christmas dinner I am making surf and turf. I will be making prime rib and shrimp!!! Thought I would shake things up a little this year.
I'm not a fan of turkey. I eat it at Thanksgiving, but that's about it. (And I eat just enough to be polite.) I'll also roast one for my DH a few times a year, because he loves it!
I love it! I got a recipe for chipped turkey from somebody on the DIS years ago and I always make chipped turkey and biscuits the day after Thanksgiving. It's very good!
I cook a turkey breast every year for my husband and son. But I only eat the potatoes, gravy, dressing, etc. No turkey. Ever since I had morning sickness 17 years ago while I was cooking my dinner, I just can't eat it.
I tolerate it, the rest of the family hates it. We have Lobster for thanksgiving, with all the trimmings (chowder, oysters, scallops, boiled potatoes, corn on the cob).
