So how is Magic Express going?

:Pinkbounc I'm wondering the same thing. I am still undecided, but need to make a decision soon. I haven't heard much about it except some people still not getting their tags. Is that still a problem?

I'm curious too. I've read good and bad reviews. I leave in 12 days :hourglass and would like to know the in's in out's. Haven't received my tags yet either. Hopefully in the next few days!

I'm going to guess they're not doing so great. I'm 6 days out and I haven't gotten my tags yet. I called and they told me when I get to the airport to go to Disney welcome Center and they will give me the vouchers. (I will have to wait on line but according to them it will be quick) then I can describe my luggage and hopefully they will get it to the right hotel. I am so upset by this, I'm not sure what to do.

I thought it was doing really great!

We didnt have any problems whatsoever.
Got in checked MCO checked in at counter, got on bus, checked in at hotel and then were in the park in less than 1 hour 30 mins.

I, too, was very concerned about this service. My fears were totally unfounded!

DME went perfectly for my family and me. Got my tags 19 days out and everything went exrtremely smooth. "Mickey Handed" folks were right where they were supposed to be when we landed and we were on the bus within minutes of getting in the DME checkin line. Got to our resort (POFQ) within an hour and went to get something to eat and "explore" our new home for the week and when we arrived back at our room (90 minutes later) our luggage was "magically" in our room. Check out went just as smoothly.

I'd HIGHLY recommend this service!

I too am hoping for the best last time we had a town car and it was great. But, I am all for saving some $$$$. We are leaving Aug 7, and received our ME tags 7/18, and I have read a lot of happy postings about ME.

We had a fabulous experience. We were guided where we needed to go, we checked in without a line, got on a bus right away - the only hiccup was that they forgot to stop at POP on the way into Resort Land - but they brought us there anyway, no big deal. Our luggage was in our room by the time we were back from supper. Didn't use it on the way out because we were continuing on to Sarasota (in fact I'm still here!!) but they called twice to double check that we weren't going to be riding with them.

We just returned late Sat night and used ME. Being Canadian, we had to pick up our own luggage and take it to ME desk and put it on the bus ourselves. This to me was the best way to do it anyway. We wanted our stuff right away and there was no confusion at all. We did not receive ME tags. The best way for us was to just treat our luggage as if you were using any type of transportation. It's free transportation to your Disney resort and from what I understand it otherwise will cost approx $75. with any other means of transport. It seems to be something everyone worries too much about. Think of the savings. :cool1:

You got bad information. If you pre-cleared customs in Canada you should have been able to use ME tags. If you cleared customs in MCO you should have been able to use the tags after you cleared customs to avoid having to pick up your bags at the second carousel.

:worried: Hopefully I will get my tags this week but what if I don't get them before I leave? What should I do, take my bags to the bus like any other transportation or let ME pick them up and hope they make it to my resort in a reasonable amount of time? Has anyone noticed a difference in service according to the time of day you arrive (i.e early morning or middle of the afternoon). Just curious. My flight arrives around 2:30pm on 7/31.

Unless you were on non-participating airlines. I've heard picking up your own bags is the only way to go under that circumstance and is even recommended with the regulars. Anyway, we are on SWA and will have no choice but to take our own baggage to the bus.

I leave in 9 days and when I got my package I recieved blue tags with the castle on them but the paperwork said I should be recieving bright yellow tags???

I'm confused?! Do I ever get bright yellow tags? Or do I use these blue tags??

HELP!!

The blug tags are just for fun. You will also get yellow paper tags for Disney's Magical Express. The ME tags look a lot like the tags the airline puts on your bag. It will have your name and resort on the tag so your bags will get to you.

Do you still get bright yellow tags if you are flying SWA ? Or do you get your own bags and put them on the ME Bus yourself ??? Thanks

You will get the luggage tags no matter airline you use. The only difference is your return trip, you have to handle your own bags.

This is only true for your return trip back TO the airport. Even if your airline is not a participating one, you still put your bright yellow tags on the luggage and it will arrive at your hotel later that day.

Keep your fingers crossed, I got my tags about 2 weeks out. There is still a really good chance you will get your tags. If I didn't get my tags I would still use the service. Once you get to the DME check in desk you just have to give them your luggage claim numbers, pick out what your bags look like, and get on the bus.

We are leaving on the 2nd of August and we received our ME tags and booklets about a week ago- so right at 22 days out. So far so good!

If you haven't heard anything from them it wouldn't hurt to call.
