We are already planning for 2007 and since 3 of us have b'days in Feb and it is winter, I thought it may be a fun time for a trip other than our usual Sept. trip. How busy would early February be? Is it before most school breaks? Would it be hard to get a standard view at BWV if my home resort is OKW?

We've gone before during the last week of Jan and also from Feb 2-8. We stayed at BCV for the one trip and didn't have a problem reserving it. I don't think it will be too busy. That's our favorite time of year to go..if we could do it every year..we would. Once you get into the 3rd week of Feb I heard it gets really busy.

We went 2/4-2/12 2003 and 2/6-2/17 2005 - really great crowd levels both trips. We were actually kind of bummed on our last day in 2005 because we bought DVC that day and they gave us 12 fastpasses to use as a gift for taking the tour - we couldn't even use them that day! LOL. On the rides that even had fastpass running we would walk side by side next to the standby line people thinking, "wow, this sure saved us a lot of time" - the longest standby waits at MK were 20-25 mins that day. The CM at Space Mountain said it was the calm before the storm though, he predicted that in the next few days crowd levels would increase dramatically with so many schools getting a midwinter break.

We went the first week of Feb. this year and when I called to make my reservation at the 7 month mark (end) I had a choice of any resort and/or view I wanted. I was only booking a studio. I only booked 5 days and stayed at Pop the Friday and Saturday before moving to VWL.

we just were there last month, the first week in Feb, 3-11. WOWSER! We usually go in off season, but I have never seen the parks so empty. I even took a pic of SM waittime of 10 min at noon. That was a first for us! We found we could be very lazy, not make park opening, and walk on to almost everything. Except Fantasyland rides, and EE of course. The weather was downright cold, but that is hit or miss, weather cannot be predicted by any means.

This is our new favorite time to go! Have a great trip! Oh yeah, we added on days to BCV, 4 to be exact, 24 hours before leaving. WOWSER again!! :thumbsup2

We were there last month: Feb 10 - 14. Crowds were very light. The weather, however, had its first freeze in 3 years during those dates. We were there for a convention, (which was not held at WDW, but rather at the Orange County convention center). The weather thing could happen at any time during the winter. I was there for MLK weekend about 3 years ago, and it also froze. You will probably really enjoy visiting during February!

We went that week once and it went down to 30 degrees at night and about 50-60 degrees in the day. Just be prepared for it if it happens by bringing warm clothes and jackets. However, in September you probably have had the opposite happen-- its too hot. We went in October and it was really hot and the crowds were horrible (near halloween).

That being said, I go to Florida every winter, It sure beats New England weather.

I also went this year Feb 4-11th and all I can say is I will go back that time of the year in a heartbeat!
Yes, there was times when it was downright chilly but to me that is the best conditions to tour in..
Hated my June / July trip last year cuz it felt like I was melting and was just to hot to stand in lines.. If I'm gonna spend all that money the least that can happen is that I actually enjoy it!
Granted June July was O.K.(any day at Disney is right) but I am not a hot weather person it tends to be chilly up here in Mass so the 50's and 60's was downright perfect for me!

We were there Feb 4-14. Crowds were quite light, except on weekends. The first Sunday we were there, 2/5, AK was packed-- EE was new and running. But generally the crowds were light.

The weather was a little chilly for my taste, although most days you could take your jacket off during the day. The last couple days were downright COLD-- it was actually colder in FLA than it was in NYC when I got home. (We all came home saying "Never again in February! Yet we just booked our airfare for President's Week next year. Crossing my fingers for :sunny: )

But even though the weather can be cool some days it really is a nice time to be at the parks.

I don't know about getting BWV standard though, I think that's pretty hard to get as 7 months no matter what the time.

Eleven months can't pass fast enough!
