We haven't been to DL for a couple years and we're getting the itch. DD has spring break the week of 3/21-25, like probably half of the country, and we're considering a trip to DL. If not March, we're looking at the first week of June (after Memorial Day).

For reference, here are our Disney travel experiences...

DL - Mother's Day and the week following a few times, Nov across Veterans Day once

WDW - 3rd week of Oct, 3rd week of Nov, 1st week of Dec many times, and the 2nd week of Jan across MLK day

We don't know what's up with DD9 - she doesn't want to miss any school in the spring. We take her out for a week in the fall for WDW and took her out in the spring for DL in the past. But she's getting to the age where she doesn't want to miss school, especially end of year stuff. We are such bad influences as parents!!!

So how bad will the crowds be (March vs. June)? Park hours aren't out yet to gauge the crowds. We stay onsite and are early park risers, mid-day swimmers, back to the park at night kind of people.

Thanks

I went last year at that time and it was very manageable - busy, but manageable, nothing, IMO, like Halloween or Christmas. Space and Indy were 60 minutes, Peter Pan was 25, TMRR was 30, Nemo was 45 (those are the ones I remember). We just used FP whenever possible. Some rides like Star Tours were as little as 10 minutes. It was spring break and the cheerleading competition or whatever it is :)

This year I'm going March 29-31, so the next week (the week before Easter Sunday) and I'm anticipating my week to be worse than the week you're going, but that's obviously just a guess. I can't remember what exactly the hours were last year. I know they opened at 8:00 AM (MM at 7:00 AM) but I can't remember if they closed at 11:00 PM or midnight.

I don't have kids yet, but I'm with you - I would be the worst influence, taking them out for a week to go on vacation when they want to stay and learn lol!

We went last year March 22-27, 2009. The parks hours were 9-11, although it warranted 8-12 hours, so that made me mad. The crowds were busy, but manageable like the above poster said. We never waited for more than 20 minutes for anything with diligent fast passes, etc, it was just the walkways and streets where you felt the crowds.

We only went because so many spring breaks were staggered out due to a later Easter. This year, we are not so lucky because our spring break is the week before Easter, which will coincide with most other schools too.
We had gone the previous mid August, and found it worse in March. At least in August the hours are 8-12.
