So, here's what I'm thinking about having the characters-and a question of course! :)

Hi all!

Man, we're getting close!! So, I'm looking at our AAA triptik last night and I see this ad for WDW that I haven't seen yet and it's making me bawl my eyes out....
And it got me to thinking...

Well, first off, here it is, on the first page it says "It's not what you see in Orlando..." and then you flip the page over and it says..."....as who." with a pic of a kid with Mickey...I was already crying...then I go on to read the next page (yes, it's a 3 page ad!) It goes on to say this....

"Anything you want to do in Orlando,
Chances are, you can do it at
Walt Disney World Resort

You can swim, you can shop
You can golf
You can experience
incomparable Theme Parks
and stay in fantastic and
fantastically affordable resorts

And you can meet Mickey Mouse.

Don't underestimate meeting Mickey,
People get a little crazy
When they meet Mickey
Adults hug him like he's a relative
and also like they're not adults
Babies can't resist grabbing his nose
And everyone (really, everyone)
talks to him like he's an old friend
which, when you think about it,
he really is.

When you go to the
Walt Disney World Resort
You're going to the place that has
practically everything
the best of everything that you want
And you're going to the one place,
the only place
where you lose yourself
(and also find yourself)
in pure Disney magic."

So, I have realized the last couple of days I will need a hankie at the wedding, but now I'm totally realizing......
When Mickey and Minnie show up, I"m going to be like crazy!!! First of all, I think I'm not going to be this beautiful, calm bride, I'm going to be like jumping around and probably yelling out to them and then, the tears are going to come...

So, as I'm looking at pics of Heidi and Cam and everyone else who have had characters at their wedding....were you calm the whole time? I think I'm going to freak out initially and Randy will think I'm insane and then I'll calm down for the pics..

I'm just putting this out to you all to see what you all think...

:)

Having Mickey and Minnie was the best. We had not told our guests - not even our dad's. Everyone went crazy. There were 50 people at our wedding - a 2 year old, a 4 year old and a 13 year old - so that means 47 adults and everyone wanted to dance with and take photos with Mickey and Minnie.

I was so excited waiting for them to arrive and when they came everyone love it.

I think the characters are one of the best parts! It always makes me so happy to see them! :goodvibes

Anyhoo if you think its going to be more emotional than you would like - you could schedule breakfast at chef mickeys for the morning of - just to get some of the excitement out.

Hopefully other than the "i dos" it will be one of the big highlights of your big day.

The characters were wonderful. Everyone loved them. The adults were fighting to take pics with Donald and Mickey! I think if you can swing having them at your wedding do it!

I knew about the characters so long that I wasn't emotional. In fact, my WP asked me if it was okay to have them come. And then she gave me the "The Mice are 5 minutes out" call, so I had plenty of time to prepare for it. It wasn't a shock to my system at all.

I loved them. They were so much fun to take pictures with!

Linda-That's what I mean!!! I think I'm going to be so excited for their arrival, I know my family is going to think I'm nuts. (well, they do already!)..

so,

Heidi-I'm glad you told me about the "The Mice are 5 mins. out call"...
I'm hoping Tanis does that so I can try to calm down a bit before they get there. I mean, I've met them both before, but appearing at your wedding, just for you and your guests is such a special thing, I think I'm going to be crying all over the place...

When I see them walking up to us, I know I'm going to be jumping up and down like a little girl...(or a dork, you decide). I'm sure Stan will catch it all on video!!:lmao:

Just let Tanis know you want that. She'll be coordinating it, so she'll know. I didn't know Michelle was going to do that, but I'm sure you could specifically request it.

I would be just like you Lori! I'd be so excited and there is no way i could keep the suprise! I'd be looking over my shoulder the whole time waiting for Mickey to show up!! Mickey Mouse all to myself!!! Talk about heaven!! :lmao:
