Call up AAA travel in nothern NJ two weeks age when the new rates came out to see if I could get a better room rate than the current AAA rate I had (4 nights at WL, courtyard view, from 12/13 to 12/17, $216 room rate which is a 15% discount off of the rack rate of $255). I get a number from them that has me at a $170 room rate (a 33% discount) included in a package which includes dining and tickets. I wait 10 day for the printed reservation to be mailed which never gets to my house, so I called back. They are now telling me the package price they gave me does NOT include dining and the room rate is $216 (which I already have). So I just spend almost two weeks to get the SAME price I had before. The only advantage to using AAA is that they can include dining plus some other small perks (parking, etc.). Did anyone else out there who utilized AAA to get a package get a better rate and/or discount than just the standard AAA 15% discount? I'm not sure if I should try calling another AAA agent just to check her information. If anyone did get a better deal, then please let me know what AAA agent you used so I can talk to someone who understands WDW.
