So excited just got Lecellier

I think the new credit card guarantees may make it easier to find availability in some of these hard to book restaurants. We were there the week of Nov. 28 and on Thursday of that week we decided to see if anything was available in any of the epcot restaurants for Friday night. Low and behold - one of the first things that came up was a 6:35 reservation at Le Cellier. I couldn't believe it!

Congrats! Enjoy the mushroom filet... or the NY strip... mmm... I'm drooling now!

I just checked for lunch at LeCellier on Saturday, January 21, and three time slots were avaliable. I did take one, but I was surprised at how many were open. I agree, it probably has to do with the cc guarantee.

Any chance you're a party of 2? I've been planning for a Feb and June trip and noticed that I could get tables for a party of 3, but not for our actual party of 2. Before the credit card guarantee, I'd just book the party of 3 and then "our friend couldn't make it" as per a previous suggestion from a CM. But I didn't want to do that with the credit card guarantee and take a chance on being charged $10 for the one no-show.

Yesterday I noticed that availibility opened up for a party of 2 for several days on both trips. :confused3 I really think they somehow changed their programming to allow a party of 2 to book what is really a table for 3 or 4 because I have a hard time believing that so many tables for 2 really opened up on dates for 2 separate trips. Whatever the reason, I'm glad! :goodvibes

Congratz! We just got a reservation there for January as well. Yay!

Yes, Mareed we are a party of 2 I was sooo surprised I had been trying like crazy.... makes my trip....

I just got a lunch ressie for early Feburary too!!

Now, for the hard decision.. the much talked about hamburger, or the stand-by of mushroom filet?? :confused3

The mushroom filet!! I just had my first Le Cellier lunch last week and it was wonderful. I went in with very low expectations bc of all the hype but it ended up exceeding those expectations and then some. I loved the mushroom filet. We also had the mussels for an appetizer and they were delicious.

Not to rain on your parade, but Lunch ressies have always been easier to snag at Le Cellier and Feb is hardly high season.

I wouldnt break my arm trying to pat Disney on the back for a punitive cancellation policy as the reason it was available.

Yay, good for you! LeCellier is a great restaurant and is not always an easy "catch." Not sure when you are going to the World, but WDW is extremely busy overy President's Day week due to Northern schools being out for winter vacation. (Yes, we have such a thing, and MANY people from up north travel south, including me to get away from the horrid snow...) Enjoy the lucious steaks and great service!

You'll be happy to know, I booked the restaurant yesterday for TONIGHT..yes we just ate dinner here this evening. This is Christmas and the busiest time. So, yes to the question, the new cancellation policy does work. Only disappointment, being here for the first time on the Disney Dining plan, finding out late afternoon that this dinner needed 2 sit downs each and we only had 1 each was a huge disappointment. No where on my reservation did it say that 2 sit downs was required. It meant, the 24 hour cancellation window was over, so 2 ate here and 3 ate at a QS. Not impressed with that. Before you go into the spiel of it's a Signature restaurant, remember it's our first time. Now I know but still not impressed.
