So excited for LE CELLIER!!! Suggestions?

We went early November for the very first time. With all the great talk about it, we were excited to get an ADR.

My mom and I had the Mushroom Filet and my dad had the NY Strip. Were they good? Yes. However, it didn't really live up to the hype in my opinion. I would eat there again but it's definitely not a must do by any means. It was just your average steak to me.

We did have great service though. Our waiter was very attentive and well deserving of the tip we gave.

We ate there in April, and though the waitress told me their prime rib is not good I decided to order it anyway. Boy was she right... there was fat in the meat that I have never seen before:sick:

But DH had the filet and the kids ate the meaty macaroni and they all loved it.

DH insteaded we give it another so we have an ADR on Monday. I just know not to order the prime rib again.

Here is my suggestion for you at Le'Cellier: Do not go there expecting to experience the most incredible culinary experience in your life where the ground shakes, the moon and stars align, time stands still and you are transported into a near state of orgasmic euphoria. If you go there expecting to have an experience like that of how it's hyped up to be, you will leave there very disappointed.

However, if you go there with realistic and tempered expectations, you may leave very satisfied. Le'Cellier is what it is, an average to slightly above average steakhouse that is a great value on the ddp as a 1ts(for now) restaurant. For me, my experience was more hype and less sizzle once we sat down and ate there. Good luck and I truly do hope you enjoy it. :thumbsup2

Excellent post.:thumbsup2

Just came back last week. We were a party of 6. For those who got the filet with mushroom risotta, really like their dinner. For those who got other cuts of meat were not impressed by the dinner at all and felt it was not worth the meal. We go to steak houses a few times a year so enjoy a good steak. I would highly recommend if you are going to get the steak get the filet.

The choc mousse and the creme brulee were both very good. We all preferred the choc mousse a little better but thought they were 2 of the better desserts the trip.

mussels were okay.
soup was fine.

kids mac and cheese no one liked. Too many bread crumbs.

Oh, and they had virgin pina colada drinks that was on the dining plan like the mango smoothie drink that were decent.

We love the shaved prime rib sandwich which I don't think is available for dinner. The chicken chipotle sausage is great - it has a kick if you like a little spiciness. Of course the cheddar cheese soup is awesome and the chocolate moose is our favorite dessert!

Absolutely love the filet with the risotto! If on the DDP, don't leave without the creme brulee. We really enjoy the meal. It is a must when we go to EPCOT.

I got a Caesar salad (SO YUMMY!), the mushroom filet mignon, and the banana ice cream. DH got the cheese soup, New York strip, and the creme brulee (which he says is the best he's ever had). The kids menu was typical, though they did offer a kid portion of steak for $2.00 (which we got for DD2).

My favorite part was the cold Caesar salad. Huge flakes of parmesan and light and crispy croutons. Oh, it was so good. I also got a virgin strawberry daquiri that was also super good.

As others have said, the mushroom filet is excellent. Take advantage of the virgin drinks that are allowed on the DP. Try the creme brulee. And remember that while the pretzel bread is absolutely amazing, the other 2 kinds of breadsticks are just as good ;)

Although I've never been for lunch, I have been for dinner and love the mushroom filet with risotto. My H chose one of the steaks with mashed potatoes and although he enjoyed his meal, he couldn't stop raving about mine. We both chose the chocolate moose and it was so good, that a non-dessert loving man almost licked the plate clean. He asked if we could go at least 2 nights on our next trip and I just laughed explaining how difficult it is to get one. Hope you enjoy your experience just as much!

I LOVE the pretzel breadsticks and the cheese soup is a great dip for them (but I don't really like it as a soup - just as a dipping sauce - and it's great!!) Their filet does not disappoint although some people find the risotto too salty, I am not bothered by it. I like the Maple Creme Brulee dessert the best. And the Ice Wine Martini (extra dirty, extra olives for me!) is a unique yummy adult drink!

Have fun!

I was there for the first time on December 5 and it does live up to the hype! I had the mushroom fillet with risotto - the fillet was wonderful and since I didn't care for the risotto, our waitress brought me a side of cream cheese mashed potatoes which were delicious! I loved the cheese soup - it was great as a dipping sauce for the bread. And for dessert, I had the Chocolate Whiskey Cake which was so decadent! Also the raspberry smoothie is divine! If you have the chance - definitely go to Le Cellier!:thumbsup2
