i emailed the following letter to disney guest relations:
hello there.
my name is christopher gray and i have been a disney fanatic my whole life. my uncle robert mccutcheon, made me that way after my first disney experience, a cross country trip to disneyland, in 1981 on my 3rd birthday. he took generations of my family to disneyworld and disneyland for close to 30 years. he lost his life suddenly on january 15, 2010, to a brain aneurysm. we were due to come back in october to celebrate his grandaughters first trip and my sons first trip for his first birthday. since then i have gotten together with 3 generations of my family and we are all coming in october to celebrate his life, and what a awesome person he was.
my father died when i was 2 years old, and my mother was very young. we went to live with my uncle big robby, aunt gayle, and their son little robby after that. uncle big robby became my father, doing everything he could for me for my entire childhood. everything from traveling the united states, with several stops at disney along the way, to teaching me how to ride a bike, and how to change the oil in my car.
that is just my story, but everyone in my family has something wonderful to say about him. he was a great man. and truly passionate about taking every new member of the family on their first disney trip.
we would like to know if there is anything you can offer us to make a dedication for him. and plaque in the garden, a park bench, or anything at either of his favorite resorts, the polynesian or animal kingdom. it would make his and our dreams come true.
we come every year and regardless of your answer, we will continue to do so. disney has been a true blessing to our family since 1972, when my mother was a teenager and my uncle and aunt took her on their first trip.
i look forward to any response for you. thank you very much for your time in reading this.
....well i received a very nice phone call today. i was informed there was no program intact that could help me out but that my letter was very touching, gave me condolences and thanked me for sharing that with her. it was very very nice for them to call me like that. most places would just delete that email, or at best, respond by email. kinda choked me up a bit...anyways just wanted to share.

You're right, it's decent that they actually acknowledged you and gave you a call. I guess there are lots of people with such wonderful family memories at Disney that they wouldn't have room to memorialize all of them.
I am so sorry you lost your beloved uncle so suddenly.
