So disappointed with Southwest & Flight Credits!

name match" policy on TTF

what does this mean?

Currently the credit does not have to match the name on the original ticket. So if you cancel a flight, someone else could use the credit. If the name match goes through, only the person whose name was on the original ticket can use it. Most other airlines already have this policy.

Where did you hear that it was not in effect?

some of you may have noticed a change in the language about this on your receipts and at southwest.com. We know some of our Customers had voiced their displeasure over the elimination of the transferability waiver we had been offering; however, we feel complying with our longstanding Contract of Carriage procedures is important. There is a delay in implementing the software upgrades to prevent transferability, due to reprioritizing our Technology needs. No date has been set for implementation.
