Hi everyone! This is my first post so please forgive me if its already answered.

First off a back story...I work for the FAA stationed at LAX. The FAA had offices at pretty much every major airport (including Santa Ana).

One day, our Santa Ana counterpart (lets call him Bono) came to LA to shadow us for the day. During lunch, I mention about a potential trip to DL and said how the So Cal pass is a bit cheaper then the general pass but not cheaper than the military pass. Bono then mentions "my Santa Ana resident pass is cheaper than the So Cal pass and military pass. In fact, its really discounted across the board." Those at lunch asked to clarify and Bono said
"There's the So Cal resident pass, then there's the Orange County resident pass, and finally the Santa Ana resident pass. Each have a bigger discount respectfully." Thats all he said before changing the topic quickly.

Is there any truth to what Bono said or is he just blowing smoke?

No, there is no truth to that.

I live in Southern California and I've never heard of those passes before, but what do I know?!. Lol
I'd call DL directly and ask about it if I were you. :)

I created an account on the DL website and I entered my zip code and it gave me a So Cal resident ticket rate. Check it out

Way back when, Disney used to offer discounts directly to employees of some local businesses and probably residents. This would have been pre-DCA. It's possible that he either hasn't been in a really long time or is confused by what "So Cal Select" means and who it's open to.

I've never heard of a Santa Ana pass either, though I only lived in SoCal for a few years. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense though. I mean why would Santa Ana specifically get it's own pass and not Anaheim or Garden Grove? Sorta random, lol.

It could have been a situation where Santa Ana bought a large block of tickets at a discount and resold them. But I don't think that has been available in a long time.

So. Much. Smoke. OC resident pass? LOL. Santa Ana resident pass? ROFL! Best kept secret in CA if y'all who live down there have been hiding that one! (But in your shoes I would have asked here if someone had told me that too- leave no discount behind!)
