Hello. I was wondering if someone can help me with a question on the Southern California 2Fer ticket deal that is ongoing right now. I know it is limited to Southern Californian residents and proof of residency is shown when picking up the tickets.

But after picking up the tickets, can these tickets be used by non-So. Cal. residents? such as non-Southern Californian residents who have family who are So. Cal residents and picked up the tickets? Or is proof of residency needed for entering at the turnstiles as well?

:confused3

Appreciate the help! :thumbsup2

In my experience, They do not check when entering the park. Just when the tickets are purchased. HTH. :) Granted I was purchasing tickets for myself amd my family to enjoy the day at DL. I am about an hour from DL. :)

When I've used them, they do not check, but the tickets state that they are non-transferable and that proof of residency must be shown to use them. So you COULD use them, but Disney does not allow it. I suppose it would depend on the conscience of the person using the tickets!

From the website:
• Tickets valid for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and Northern Baja California residents within ZIP codes 21000-22999. Proof of residency required for admission.

• Admission valid for one day at Disneyland® park and another day at Disney's California Adventure® park, but not for both parks on the same day. Tickets are valid 30 days from first use. First use must occur between 1/07/08 through 5/22/08. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use.

• May purchase up to 8 tickets per person per day with valid ID. Tickets may not be sold or transferred for commercial use. Offer may not be combined with other discounts or promotions. Offer not valid before 01/07/08. Subject to restrictions and change without notice.

My brother came over for vacation with the rest of the family (shortly after we moved back). My father, So Cal resident all his life, bought my brother a ticket to use for the 2 days we were there. The ticket agent knew this and said that was fine.

I agree with your information. I just purchased tickets through my union for my friend scrappinmom on her trip to DLR- the union actually recommended I buy her the 2fer as it was the better deal at $61 vs. $67 for the one day hopper. I actually wanted the hopper capability, and she already had one hopper ticket with our Club 33 entrance. Anyway- it was no big deal to buy her a 2fer, had I chosen to do so.

So to the OP- no worries! :goodvibes Just be aware that the 2fer means only ONE park per day. NO hopping abilities! And don't wait till the last day of the promo to use the DCA trip. It'll be super packed that weekend.

I have never heard of anyone being asked to show id when entering the park. They only ask for id when purchasing the tickets.
