Anybody know why my Safeway in Arizona has banners advertising the Southern California 2fer for DL special? I assume it is just for SoCal residents, so I'm confused.

It is for SoCal residents only, but if I'm not mistaken, you might be able to buy one at a local Safeway/Vons and get the promo. I'm really not sure why they're advertising it in Arizona though... Are you maybe EXTREMELY close to CA border?

I live in the Phoenix area so I am not near the border.

Do they make you show proof of So Cal residency with the 2fer?

Now, I'm curious, are they just banners advertising them or are they actually selling them here in AZ? Guess I need to check my Safeway next time I'm shopping.

I'm curious about whether they check id at the gate on these passes as well.

Along that same thought train...it says that you have to prove residence for admission, but does that mean to buy tickets or to use the ticket? I'm curious because I could have my aunt buy me a ticket, but since I'm technically a resident of Northern California (as in I claim my parents' address as my own because I only live in temporary student housing down here in SoCal) I don't know if I could use it. Can anyone help me (maybe our resident CM Albort)?

I thought they were for anyone. I guess not. Will they be asking for your id when you enter the park?
