So. CA big name bridal shops?

Hi. I'm in So. CA. Are there any big name bridal shops other than Davids Bridal? Anyone know of any dress shops with REAL women sizes?
Need places around San bernardino, onterio, montclair, riverside etc. Thanks

PS also looking for a place that carries plus size special occasion pantsuits TIA!

Try calling Alfred Angelo and see if they have any. They have many locations.

The biggest independent bridal shop in SoCal is Mon Ami in Costa Mesa. However, they are way overpriced (think of them as Kleinfeld West), and I'm not entirely sure they carry plus sizes in the store to try on.

I compiled a list of some of the bridal shops in SoCal I checked out when I was on my 60+ dress tour - I'll post it here and maybe you could call the ones near you to see about sizing.

But I agree with turtle51 - Alfred Angelo is probably your best bet for size variety. Some of the boutiques I went to - especially the ones in the San Gabriel Valley - didn't stock any size bigger than a (sized-down, wedding version of a) 6! However, those shops, especially in Temple City, can order most name-brand dresses in any size at great prices. So if you already knew what you wanted, you could get, say, a Maggie Sottero for $400.

opps! I should have mentioned these are for bridesmaids. I'm getting my dress from Davids Bridal but my sis wants to checkout other locations. Dunno what we will find since one (size 7-9) doesnt want strapless and something to not show off her cleavage, the other(size 11-12) wants to show cleavage but doesnt want to show her arms, the other is wearing a pantsuit(Plus size) and more than likely will go shopping at the last min. The 4th has a great body so no problems or complaints from her. The 1st three are in their 40'S and the 4th is in her mid 20's so trying to find a balance. I do want the girls to wear the same style and one can wear a cover up or matching jacket type thingy

Theres an Alfred Angelo not to far away. Are the prices decent? On the site it just has symbols next to the word price. Wish they had the prices list like DB. Those symbols make me a lil nervous. I would like to keep the dresses affordable $100 -$150(hopefully under 130.00
