My youngest was just diagnosed with pnemonia today and the oldest with flu. The doctor said even if they are feeling better by Monday that she would not suggest going to the show because they are easily suseptible to germs while being sick and a lot of kids with the flu are relapsing after having improved and also to obviously not spread the germs. I hope this is something they can get over quickly and without any complications.

Aside from the illnesses, we have another problem. We have tickets to the miley show in Boston Monday night. Looks like we are going to have to miss the show and I'll lose out on the $$$$. The concert is ticketless, paperless so the buyer has to be there to swipe their credit card and show license. I looked at the ticket exchange rules on ticketmasters site and it says you can use the ticket exchange to your seats to ticketless events but of course the miley show is eligible for ticket exchange. bummer......

That is a bummer. Sorry. Is there any way you could "sell" the tickets and go to the venue to swipe your card to let the buyers in? At least you would not be out the money you spent on the tickets.

We have tickets for the Nov. 12 show in Hartford, CT. I sure hope my kids don't get sick.

AW I'm sorry the kids are sick AND you have to miss the show. They must be so disappointed. DD has the flu this week too. We were supposed to go see To Kill a Mockingbird at the theater on Sat., but I don't think she will be able to go. Her cough is still pretty bad.

Unfortunately no. We are approx. 45 minutes outside of Boston and that's without traffic. I'd have to drive in and still find a spot/pay for parking. It would be a production. I sure do wish ticketmaster had a special "refund due to flu" policy.

That's too bad, Magic Mom. No wonder you are down.

Thanks, There will be other shows.:goodvibes I feel bad for dd though. She's sick, but not super sick if you know what I mean. She can't go to school, but she is bored and restless at home.

I swear Ticketmaster is run by demons. I'm sorry that you'll miss the show.

If it were me, I'd call every TM number I could find until I found a way to unload the tickets. It would kill me to see them wasted.

Just thought of something--try looking on the StubHub website. I think they're the official reseller of tickets for TM, and maybe there's a way to exchange them through that site.

I'm confused by your post....can someone buy the tickets off you? How many tickets do you have and how much? I'd try to sell them on ebay or Craigslist or word of mouth...

Sorry, such a bummer to miss the show and not even be able to resell tickets :guilty:. Sending prayers your kiddos feel better soon and have a speedy recovery.

I could be mistaken, Hegsag, but it sounds like the OP bought "E Tickets" from Ticket Master. You buy them on-line, then go to the Will Call window to pick them up with your I.D. and the CC you used.

We did this for a Mets game last year to save on the postage and handling fee. It never occurred to me before participating in this thread that if we couldn't go to the game for some emergency, we'd be hosed out of our tickets and the money we spent on them.

the tickets are paperless. meaning there is no ticket to sell. the only way to get in is with the credit card you bought them with and a matching ID.. they did it to stop ticket brokers from buying all the tickets. but it stinks for everyone else...

not etickets exactly, you dont have to go to will call... the entire show is ticketless. so when you get where they would usually scan a ticket, they scan a credit card and it brings up the ticket, they then make sure that the name on the cc matches your ID. I beleive they then print out your seat assignments...

Don't worry about money/tickets, pnemonia almost took my dd life back in August and she's still trying to recover, concentrate on getting everyone better that is your main concern, trust me if you go though what we just went though ticket refund wouldn't even be in your mind. Thank God for life , health and strength! Godspeed to their recovery, it's no joke!

It's a ticketless concert which means the person who purchased the tickets has to be present at the venue to swipe their license and credit card used to get in to the show.

Ticketmaster has a ticket exchange program on their site. Maybe you can use that. http://www.ticketmaster.com/ticketexchangehome/

The Miley show isn't eligible for ticket exchange. :sad2:

Believe me, I am more concerned about my children's health but I admit, I'm still bummed they will miss the show they have been looking forward to and be out the $$ but in the end, it's not the $$ that's important.

A friend of mine said she doesn't see the big deal, just give them their meds and some motrin and take them. :scared1: Umm I don't think so! Chance them getting sicker or infecting others, NO!!!
