I am so bummed the Podcast cruise won't accomodate us educators (I'm a special education teacher) and parents. I know price wins out but I was SOOOO hoping it would be in the summer.

It would; if I didn't already have a trip to DL scheduled for 6/30-7/5.

Seriously, I need to change professions. This teaching stuff is cutting in to my enjoyment of the Roundtable's travel plans......

I'm with ya, timandlesley! Teacher here too and that's our last week of school before the holiday break. No time off there!

Us teachers do have ups and downs to our holiday (vacation) plans.

We get lots of time off (not sure how long teachers in the US get??) but we have to take our vacations at the same time, and they become the most expensive times due to this.

Like I say, we have to take the highs with the lows

I missed the June 15th thing, was that in there? Maybe I was so in shock/depression when I heard the date my ears tuned out for a minute. June 15th is actually my birthday so that would be COOL! Always wanted to check out Disneyland, maybe that would be our reason!

No, I'm not getting an iPhone, BUT........

I AM beginning to get a complex. No podcast cruise #1 because I am a teacher and have no break/vacation days then. No June DLR surprise because school lets out JUNE 19 (yes, just a few days AFTER the "big day" GRRR!). Now, no podcast cruise #2 because I'll be still in school and our break is the week after! Agggh! Maybe I picked the wrong profession, too???!

No, really. I honestly understand that it is impossible to please everyone's schedule. I hope you all have a fabulous time. Thanks to the podcast crew for being so open and organizing these awesome events for everyone.

I'm bummed as well. I'm a letter carrier and while it's not impossible to get vacation during that time of the year, it's very unlikely. I was surprised with the announced date, I was hoping for sometime in Jan/Feb of '11. Here's to hoping there's a podcast cruise #3.

I'm not a teacher, but I can't go either. I work for a publishing company that puts out a yearly publication, and the the beginning of December is our busy time. So no time off then for me. I was looking forward to going on the next one, but hopefully cruise #3 (if there is one! I hope so!) will work out.

I'm a bit bummed about the time as well, getting away from the hospital right before christmas isnt easy or likely for me as well (tho I am determined to try ) but looking at your sig and the 2 massive trips you have planned, I would say you have plenty to look forward to

ANYWHOSSSSSS I haven't listened to the podcast yet but I am a teacher too so considering that I am probably gonna go with add me to the no column as well for the next podcast cruise too (AGAIN, ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUS I CAN'T GO ON THE NEXT ONE EITHER?!?! ) Going to listen now...I'll be back...

I too am saddened by Podcast Cruise #2 dates ....... but you just can't please us all, huh Pete? Being the week before Christmas break for the kids - and planning family Christmas - and all the activities centered around the holidays (work, church, family, etc.) - it won't really work for us either.

Oh well .... we're looking at doing a 4 night in June 2010 & plan to use Dreams Unlimited to book anyway!

That is my husband's really busy time of the year and we have a daughter who will be a freshman in High School at that time. But DH said don't despair we can probably figure out a way for me to go. So I'll probably register but will be looking for a roommate.

I just talked to DH about going on the podcast cruise. I will not be out of school, but might be able to take a couple of sick days if we can swing the cost. . .

It's ok to be bummed.

I was excited that the dates would work out for me, except my boss wasn't thrilled when I took my last vacation starting on a December 9. She may veto another December vacation after this year. I was lucky enough to squeeze this year's in.

That being said, I'm going to get my Castaway Cay "do over"** one way or another. I'm currently working on a friend going soon on the Magic with her husband to re-book on the ship for just us girls to help me avoid a single supplement.

I'm pretty sick of the Western itinerary, as I've done it at least 5 times, now. It was just weird that I haven't done any Eastern itineraries on my other (non-Disney) cruises. I'm looking into doing that for next year.

**Do over: Our Castaway Cay day had to be rescheduled due to 15 foot waves. The ship couldn't dock there so we had an impromptu day at sea.
