So am I the only one NOT done Christmas Shopping

Nope - my mother hasn't even started! She makes an art form of coming home with the last of her purchases on Christmas Eve, and wrapping in one long marathon that night. I think it's because she has a mid-December birthday and doesn't like to start "Christmas" until it's over.

I myself have to get a few more stocking stuffers to round out the stockings but otherwise, I'm pretty much done and wrapped.

I'm another one thats behind.
We still need to go get some easy ones for
FIL/wife- dinner gift card
BIL/Wife- dinner giftcard
Dh's step dad/wife- dinner giftcard
dh's grandmother-giftcard
MIL-giftcard
SIL- cash
dh's 9 year old niece- which we have no idea to get her and if we ask we will be told a $20-25 giftcard. We need a gift idea between $10-15. We already got one of her brothers something but the 2nd brother I'm hoping to get him a shirt. Trying to keep this amounts equal and low cuz they are a family of 5.

Dh side we already bought for 4 family. My side we decide everyone by for there own family.

I still need to by for dh and a few more thing for dd13

I'm not done either unfortunately!! I have been wrapping presents the last 2 days for my kids, but only a couple of those are actually from DH & I to the kids. I am wrapping presents from family that have been sent.

We are planning on going shopping this next week sometime. Been having a hard time finding someone to watch the kids, so it looks like it might be shopping on the 23rd :scared1: Unfortunately, the 23rd is when we were SUPPOSED to prep all of our Christmas meal.

Ugh, I have a feeling this next week will be super hectic

I was finished until I found out that 35 children in state protective custody did not get *picked* to have this Christmas this year. We have now gathered the troops and are helping provide for these kids who are the product of their parent's poor choices- all kids have been abused and neglected in some way. This list is far longer than my family's. Off we go to shop again tomorrow. Well worth it though I must say. :thumbsup2

I haven't really started yet...:)
Ok, I actually went down to WalMart today and got a print made of DD for her Grandma which turned out really nice. Also DW has done a lot of shopping without me so I only have a small number of gifts to buy

I started Thursday, and finished yesterday. But then I stopped at home and changed clothes before a Christmas party last night, and in going to pick up my last gift (ordered for in-store pickup at Best Buy) and stopping for a quick dinner, realized I left my debit card at home in my other jeans pocket. So I ended up having to use part of my mom's restaurant gift card to get dinner, as it was the only "cash" I had. Good thing the card is reloadable...

So I just need to reload the gift card to the previous amount, and pick up my husband's gift at Best Buy. And I need to get DH underwear...but then I'm done!

I got called out of town for work this week with only three days notice. Was in a panic trying to get a few things under the tree. In the process, I realized that I brought two gifts home on Black Friday and I have no memory of where I hid them. Since the kids were home from school, I sort of remember sneaking them in, but where the heck did I put them? When I get home late next Friday, the search will be on.

LOL! I do that every year! My mom did it too so apparently I'm carrying on the tradition. We're usually sitting around when I realize I haven't seen one of the kids with something I bought. Then I have to run around trying to find it. DD17 asked for a scarf last year. I could have sworn I bought it for her but I never did find it. She finally bought the one she wanted this fall.

Today I opened a drawer in the dining room to put something away & found the guitar strap I bought for DS. Totally forgot I bought it til I found it there!

I think I"m done except for the neighbors. We are outside friendly but don't know them well as far as tastes, habits, etc. They usually give us cookies since we have young kids but I always struggle w/what to give in return. We've done homemade bread, soup mix, B&BW hand soap, etc. I don't know what to send over this year.
