So am I the only crazy one with 2 trips booked?

I have a trip booked in October (2018 & 2019 points - some of them use or lose) and just made another in Feb.I am going short of Florida closing it's boarders, Disney shutting down, etc (none of which is gonna happen).

I see people left and right cancelling their vacations. I am banking on a few assumptions:
* October is still 4 months away. This thing really started in mid march. So that's as long from now as we have already been in this. I am guessing we will continue to gain ground in treating it and getting it under control.
* February is a long time from now. I am guessing we will have ore of it under control by then, even if we do not have a wide spread vaccine.

And if nothing else, short of the plane trip, Disney is safer (really it is) then my local grocery (I kid you not... my grocery is not taking this near as seriously as Disney).

However, like I said - every thread is I am going to cancel November / December / Jan / Feb / 2021 / etc, etc, etc.... Or should I cancel or what would you do type threads...

Am I alone? Or anyone else booking as normal, have more than one trip / looking forward to going?

August, October, December, February, April, and May. No you are not alone. :rotfl2:

Just got back in February, booked for November and January. On a whim I booked 2 nights at AKL for my birthday next week so we could go to MK for the day. Flights and rental car for 4 is less than $250, Happy Birthday to me!

We were there early January. Have 2 more this year, August 30 for 5 nights and thanksgiving week.

So I guess that makes as crazy as the rest of you.

We have five trips booked - Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, May

We have a Nov-Dec trip and a May trip booked. The first trip was booked pre-Covid and the second post. So far, plans are to do both. The only wrinkle was we had to book a partial cash stay in May due to borrowing restrictions. We bought APs when we booked the first trip, so we were good to go for park reservations.

We have

1) Bwv 22 nights in January with bookend nights at HH for the drive

2) BLT/Bwv 14 nights in April/May with bookend nights at HH for the drive
(cruise booked Too April 24, subject to cancel)

3) Bwv 8 nights with grandkids with possible nights at HH if we have to drive

4) preparing to book Bwv in September, but also a cruise 9/4/21, a work in progress there. Drive probably so stops at HH.

Two in October for us. I figure if October gets here and it's still bad the worst that happens is we lose some points.

Cancelled our early December trip and booked mid January 2021 (using banked 2019 and some 2020 pts) - couldn't pass up an availabilty for OKW GV :guilty:. Hoping to really go but realizing things may not be what I hope by then - family members don't see us going. If we cancel that, my last hope to use 2019 would be a spring trip to HH.

I have to admit that watching some of the live stream from WDW made me realize how anxious I will probably feel going there, even wth all the precautions. :sad2:

We have thanksgiving planned (which originally was a July trip) and we booked April. If the parks are open we will go and hopefully get to experience WDW like we never had - lower crowds, lower waits and maybe a little less planning without having to worry about FP. Hoping that will still be the case come November. Even though November still seems far away the only real game changer for risk of covid will be a vaccine and it is very unlikely that we will have one by then. So we will go with masks and sanitizer in tow and just enjoy what we can.

I canceled an April & July trip (before Disney did) and have two future ressies (Feb & Apr 2021)....You are not alone.

I had 4 Disney trips planned- from the UK!
One Grand Cali for next week (cancelled) then Copper Creek 2 weeks later (cancelled).
Boardwalk Xmas (will the border be open?). If not I’ll have a Boardwalk 1 bed standard to rent out for 6 nights from 17 Dec. I’ll be hacked off if that trip is cancelled.
Recently booked the Dua Lipa hotel (I didn’t know it was that, but my daughter tells me it’s on a video and I can’t remember the name of the hotel) for Miami Beach then SSR for Easter. Hopefully the border will be open then!
Will be planning summer 2021 shortly.....l

I have November, February, and April booked, but will be playing things by ear to see if we’ll cancel closer to the date.

A few weeks ago I’d have been more likely to agree with you that FL & it’s entertainment parks wouldn’t need to close yet again. In my mind unless the course of things change :confused3

I flew end of May to Myrtle Beach, was nervous, especially since allegiant went back on their stated promise to keep the middle seats open. Ugh. Within a few weeks, the numbers spiked there. Consider ourselves lucky.

Have cancelled two weeks in the spring already (cruise/WDW/U/SW).

Just pulled plug on early August trip. Finding out our young GD would be forced to quarantine away from her parents for two weeks upon our return was the final straw there. Having free time on my hands :) moved up scheduled surgery, if feeling up to it may drive to ‘some’ beach ‘somewhere’ that week in August instead.

Sitting tight to still visit MCO end of Sept/early Oct. however, I am ‘this close’ to booking the Swolfin for disney portion of trip as those current reservation points would need to be banked by the end of July.

Not a huge amount of points, as AKVJ value studio, combined with a longer split trip at Universal since no MNSSHP this year. Still, it just doesn’t sit right with me making a decision down the road focused more on losing points than the-then current circumstances in the Orlando area

That said, will have points to burn in 2021...well, as long as we can find room at the inn:magnify:

On a positive note, our trip that typically begins the Friday after Thanksgiving is still intact. Booked airfare this week down. the earliest that the 1st NS flight out has dipped below $150 pp. yea! then it dropped again. I’ve typically paid nearly double for it. Not sure if that is good or bad sign at this point lol

Hi everyone!
You are definitely not alone! I had a July and August trip cancelled. I rebooked for April 2021 and August as the backup. I really want to surprise my son for his bday this November but I have no idea what the restrictions will be. I am a teacher from nyc and school is up
In the air too... To many uncertainties and I just need my WdW:(
