So am I the only crazy one with 2 trips booked?

I have a trip booked in October (2018 & 2019 points - some of them use or lose) and just made another in Feb.I am going short of Florida closing it's boarders, Disney shutting down, etc (none of which is gonna happen).

I see people left and right cancelling their vacations. I am banking on a few assumptions:
* October is still 4 months away. This thing really started in mid march. So that's as long from now as we have already been in this. I am guessing we will continue to gain ground in treating it and getting it under control.
* February is a long time from now. I am guessing we will have ore of it under control by then, even if we do not have a wide spread vaccine.

And if nothing else, short of the plane trip, Disney is safer (really it is) then my local grocery (I kid you not... my grocery is not taking this near as seriously as Disney).

However, like I said - every thread is I am going to cancel November / December / Jan / Feb / 2021 / etc, etc, etc.... Or should I cancel or what would you do type threads...

Am I alone? Or anyone else booking as normal, have more than one trip / looking forward to going?

I have thanksgiving planned right now for WDW - so November and then in August i'm going to be booking in my 7 month window for Hilton Head.

I've got no problem canceling.

We just canceled our August trip to Vero - but I'm going to give it some time. I don't know what is going to happen between now and then. Obviously i REALLY hope we don't have to cancel. We have park tickets and made our park pass reservations for thanksgiving. I HOPE we go - we really need the vacation.

You aren't crazy - I don't think WE are crazy - just hopeful.

Dec. and March here....to WDW
and then so far April DLR (more will be booked when my dates come.)

Cancelled April and July trips and have Thanksgiving and have February booked. (Also have April booked but my husband doesn't know that!!). A month ago I was certain Thanksgiving was 100% on- but each day I'm getting more nervous. We've debated moving our Thanksgiving to a split stay to save some points since I need to decide by 7/31 banking deadline but we've decided to just keepour Riviera reservation stay put and take our chances. So much can change in a few months. We will be out a lot of points and airlines but if that's the case, we need to put it behind us and just focus on 2021 and 2022.

I should add that my biggest concern is not going to Disney/Florida but more having to quarantine for 2 weeks when we get back (we live in MA) That is currently "recommended" and not anything that can be checked but we would follow that guidelines and if schools are still in session, I can not take 2 weeks off (teacher) nor can my kids miss 2 weeks of school.

I currently have 4 trips booked. Sept, Oct, Jan, & May. With the border closed the odds of the first 1 or 2 happening are low at this point but if it's open I'm coming down for at least 3 of the trips (October is booked in case Sept doesn't happen though it may not happen either).

I had May and July at VGC cancelled. And I cancelled September at WDW. But I would be travelling with my Mom who is 81, so I don't want her exposed. I had to bank my DVC points by 7/31, so I knew I would make my decision this month and I don't want to lose points. As it stands, I still have some banked points at risk, but I am trying to book an odd VGC night with them since I live locally. If things miraculously turned around, I could always book a quick trip paying cash.

I have November booked at VGC that I am leaving as is. It has some previously banked points on it that I would lose if we do not go. I will also be booked for March at WDW. I would be meeting my friends who are retired and in the senior population. She and I will discuss closer to the date and cancel if we think things are still bad. She is DVC too, so both of us want to protest our points. I will also be booking for next next September/October to be there for the anniversary.

I have two booked end of August and December. End of August is not looking good. Since I’m from New Jersey and when you get to Florida there is a 14 day quarantine for NY. NJ. CT . Even thou there is lots of states worse than them that don’t have a quarantine.

We had a trip that didn't happen in May, booked one at the end of July with a portion of those canceled points. We also have a trip planned for Aulani (fingers crossed) in September. We have a F&W trip booked for October that was to have been an adult only trip, but our friends canceled their reservation due to an unexpectedly high tax bill. Then I booked an end of May 2021 trip when the window opened last month. So, I have you beaten by 2!

I have:

Nov 20 at BWV
Jan 21 at BCV
Feb 21 at BWV
March 21 at HH

Same plan as my last 4 trips. Haven't canceled anything yet.

But, may shorten and could cancel Nov and plump up March. I actually expect Florida to get better in a couple of months. Maybe they will work on it. My points are all safe so far, so not worried on that - I can bank.

I've been lucky in that my schedule is so far skirting the difficult periods. Just waiting for my AP refund letter to see what they are offering.

I have late September and late January booked. My January is a backup for September and will be rescheduled to later in the year if September happens.

We have December and March booked, but we are keeping an open mind about having to reschedule, depending on the situation as we get closer. Our December one is for the week before Christmas, so if we have to quarantine when we come back, we will reschedule as we want to spend Christmas with our families.

Four booked - August (4th reschedule) 12 days, October for 13 days, December for 14 days, & May for 13 days.
We figure the August one is going to be more of a relaxing, play some games. hit the pool, stroll a bit, dine out, go to a park later in day kind of trip. It'll just be too darn hot to do much anyway :)

Cancelled September. Trip. Holding on still to early December trip but I don’t think that trip will happen. Need to cancel it by early November and bank points. Honestly right now our risk of getting sick is my focus not a trip to Disney.
