So am I crazy to think this?

My mom and dad just recently purchased a DVC at Saratoga Springs. I am always the designated trip planner, so tonight after finally getting all the information from my mom, I put in a request for October 7 - 14 or 14 - 21 at either Beach Club or Boardwalk. It says it takes 3 days to get back. I'm reading about everyone requesting so far out in advance - am I crazy for hoping that we'll be able to get in then??

Hmmm...Isn't the wine and food festival at that time? In any event as long as you stay away from Columbus day I don't think you will have too much of an issue getting a room at Saratoga Springs (depending on what type you want - i.e. two bedrooms at some DVC's are in higher demand, etc.)

I know that doesn't exactly help but maybe that will calm some nerves.

First of all, Welcome Home! You are trying to get dates during Epcot's Food & Wine Festival, a very popular event that draws many DVC members to the Epcot resorts (BCV and BWV). In fact, many people purchased points at BCV or BWV specifically so they could book one of those resorts 11 months in advance for that time of year. Those that don't own there but want to stay there for F&W would have called right at the 7-month window (back in March) so it's unlikely there will still be availability at this point. There is no harm in trying! If you can't get in to BCV or BWV this year, try again next year but you will want to call right at the start of your 7-month window for this very popular time of year. Good luck!

We were looking at a one bedroom. That's what I told my mom, as if we don't get either the BoardWalk or Beach Club, Saratoga would be fine. That's her home resort anyway!

Call first thing tomorrow morning....

You are best off to call rather than do it via email through the website. Calling is real time, and you get to take advantage of anyone who might be canceling a ressie at that particular time. Since it is F&W time, you might actually be late for ANY DVC resort, but especailly BWV or BCV since they are so close to Epcot. SSR and OKW are the largest DVC resorts, so they will have the most availability less than 7 months out.

We got into Saratoga Springs!!! I'm so glad! They actually had 3 nights available at Boardwalk, but we decided to just stay the whole time at SSR!! I'm so excited! I can't wait to take my 4 year old to the Halloween Party!

I'm glad you got something for your dates. Have a wonderful trip!

Congratulations! You'll have a GREAT trip, and you'll see how special DVC really is!
