Snuggies at Disney?

I hope they're made out of nicer material than the "official" snuggies. That felt they're made out of is *not* nice!

Sayhello

I was walking to the food court at Pop last night and I saw a guy wearing one. I thought I was seeing things at first but as I got closer, sure enough that's what it was. He was a tall gentleman so it didn't look that long and he was wearing it backwards like a coat but it was a Disney Snuggie.

I can't believe the Snuggie is even still a craze. However, I think this is a pretty cool thing for the cart vendors to be selling. On a chilly evening I bet they are going to sell more than a few of these to parade and fireworks watchers. I wonder how much they are?

Is it wrong that I would totally buy one (or both) of these?:rolleyes1

I was thinking the same thing...I would say yes for sure if they maybe had the castle on them or said Disney World instead of just Minnie and Mickey. I do like the Minnie one. I might get it if the fabric is better than the official Snuggie scratchy not soft at all fabric.

YES!!!!!!!! I'm a Snuggie addict. I have a pink one and an Alice in Wonderland one. I'll be getting these next month!!!

I would like to say, I absolutely love my snuggie, its soooo warm, and I can use my macbook with it on. I have the deluxe red one, with pockets, its kinda epic.

Attractions Magazine just tweeted that they are $29 - I'm updating the post above now! :)

I have to say, after scoffing at the Snuggie for a long long time, my husband surprised me with one (they were on sale at Costco) and I love it! I wish it fastened in the back somehow, but I am a convert. Now having Mickey on it? I probably would've converted years ago! Haha.

I think Lisa's right - these will be very popular on those evenings when people didn't bring coats to the parks because they forgot that Florida gets cold at night during the winter!

Cool! It looks like Mickey is giving you a hug.
Or, is Mickey holding it closed so you do not get that dreaded draft on your backside?

Is the photo a bad reproduction, or is a bad dye job on the cloth. Looks like a lot of places where the background color did not get covered. Yuck!

I think it's supposed to look 'weathered' or 'retro'. :confused3

My husband and I bought the Disney Snuggies last night - Minnie for me and Mickey for him. They're adorable and in a very soft fleecy fabric. I'd always sneered at the Snuggies before, but these are so cute that I gave in. :rotfl2: We got ours at the Emporium on Main Street, but saw a CM selling them from a cart earlier. She was thrilled to be wearing her "demo" since it was very chilly last night and she was actually warm. :)

Price?

Are they only for sitting?
I am worried about them being open in back. Can you wear them so they open in front, so it looks like Mickey is giving you a hug from behind?

I have to ask? Do you plan to wear your snuggie naked? :rotfl:

The snuggies I have seen are open in the back. I think because they are mostly for sitting, they are oversized, meant to be more of a blanket than a robe.

I got my niece one last Christmas, not an official snuggie, but a very thick, plush one I found at TJ Maxx. She absolutely loves that thing.

They're basically the $29 quoted in Zanna's update post (a few odd cents off, but after tax, they end up being around $30 even).

They're mostly for sitting, although the CM was fairly wrapped up in hers, with the opening in back. The ones sold at Disney don't have one large Mickey hugging the wearer. They're more subtle Mickey heads on a blue background. Very cute, but a different effect. :)
