I am in Hillsborough and nothing yet.....thought I saw a few flakes earlier. I have mixed feelings, b/c I am a teacher and we will have to make up any missed days. On the other hand, the parent of the little boy I babysite for has asked if I will keep him all day if my and his schools are closed. That's an easy $100 for my vacation fund

2 hour delay for Guilford. My DS14 has had a stomach virus for 2 days. I'm glad he doesn't have to go back a full day!

Not a thing here this morning. I don't know why I watch the news, because they are always wrong, LOL. My mom is in Dunn and was supposed to get nothing and they got 3 inches

Not here.... Everybody else seems to be hogging it all. It's been cold enough several times but it's also been dry. Right now, it's 12 degrees right now. We've had other days of that and lots of 20 degree days, too.

It just started snowing in Wilmington. Of course, I let DD wear her new Rainbows to school today. With no socks. Bad mommy!

Schools are closed in the metro Charlotte area- Mecklenburg Co, Union Co, and Cabarrus Co. DD was up and out in it at 7:45 this morning- we have about an inch. It is still on the ground right now- it is COLD outside!!

Schools were closed in Fort Mill and Rock Hill too. There is barely ANY snow on the ground and the roads are perfectly clear on my side of town but some people coming in from Lancaster Co said it was icier over there.

We have a dusting on the ground here. It is the slushy kind of snow, though.....messy. The girls are out playing in it.
It is cold!
I am wondering about tonight. We have AWANAs at church. Since they are saying that the high will only reach about 34 today, I am worried that the roads will be bad to drive on tonight. Nothing will really clear; it will just ice over once the temps get colder at night.
I hope they will give an update on that later.

I'm up in Asheville and we have plenty of snow. South Asheville, where I am, is only an inch, but about 10 miles north it gets MUCH worse. Oh, and the wind chill this morning was -13. I am not a cold weather person.

I'm west of Charlotte and our schools had a two-hour delay today. It's barely covering the ground here. It was snowing so hard last night it looked like a blizzard. Now, the sun is out. I can't wait 'til this weekend because it's supposed to be in the 60's! Can you tell I hate cold weather?

Northeast SC here, we got at least an inch, plus it was very cold this morning, and roads were much worse today than 2 weeks ago when we had snow and they cancelled school. They didn't cancel school today, or even delay it .

But now the sun is out, even though it is cold, so I guess alot will melt off. I still think we are in for a real snowfall this winter before it warms up here in SC. I knew when we got really cold in October and November (early for us), we would get snow this winter.

I still remember the BIG snowfall we had back in the 70's, close to 2 FEET of snow! That was something!

Yep, I'm in Florence. We live in the Forest Lake area. Both DH and I went to Francis Marion University, I also attended Florence Darlington Tech.

I graduate from FMU in 1990- it was FMC back then!

Yep! DH graduated in 86, it was still FMC. I didn't go until after we married, I graduated in 94. If I remember correctly, it changed in 1990 from FMC to FMU, because I started in the fall of 1990.
